I think we can all agree that the purest living being on this earth is a dog. No matter what, if you have a dog, you always have a friend. There's no better feeling than waking up to a cuddly paw on your arm or a wet puppy kiss on your face. Dogs just generally make our lives more awesome, and there isn't quite anything better than that. To have a partner in crime, a body guard, and a best friend all in one is God's way of telling us that he loves us, and he cares for us. Here are some of my favorite things about my dog, Hutch.

Dear Hutch,

The only words I have for you, to tell you how much you mean to me, are the words "I love you." Having you in my life, even as simple as the idea of a dog is, truly has blessed me from the very moment I met you. I remember picking you up, driving all the way to Michigan, just to meet you. Your bright little eyes, tiny paws, and soft fur won me over at that very moment, and I have loved you ever since.

You're always down to cuddle

No matter the time of day, where you are, or how many squirrels there are to chase out in front of you, cuddling just can't be turned down. I love jumping into bed after a long day at school or work, and you're right behind me to watch a movie and cuddle for hours.

You listen to my rants

Hey, let's be honest big guy — I complain about my days A LOT. But thats okay, because you're always there to listen, and even lend a helping paw. It's hilarious to see you react — occasionally tilting your head, listening to all that I have to say. You are my favorite shoulder to cry on, and even offer the occasional hug when times are really tough.

You LOVE to hangout any time of the day (or night)

When I'm lonely on a Friday night, or early in the morning when nobody is up — you're always up for an adventure. Going for walks is your absolute favorite, and our ice cream dates are what really excite you. I have so much fun with you, and you're the best listener and the cutest friend I have. Thanks for being my exercise buddy and the best date out there.

You're my Soulmate

I never want to imagine life without you. You're a part of the family. Without you in my life, I'd be lost. I definitely wouldn't have anyone as genuine, or furry, as you. Thanks for being the purest, most loving guy in my life. Even though you're totally spoiled, and I'm seriously convinced my mom likes you more than she likes me, having you in my life has been the greatest blessing. All my love to you, and I can't wait to spend many, many more years with you. Here's to more cuddles, ice cream dates, and longer walks. All my love to you big guy.

In honor of Mother’s Day, I have been thinking of all the things my mom does for my family and me. Although I couldn’t write nearly all of them, here are a few things that moms do for us.

They find that shirt that’s right in front of you, but just you can’t seem to find.

10 Reasons To Thank Your Best Friend

Take the time to thank that one friend in your life you will never let go of.

Thank You on wooden blocks

1. Thank you for being the one I can always count on to be honest.

A true friend will tell you if the shirt is ugly, or at least ask to borrow it and "accidentally" burn it.

2. Thank you for accepting me for who I am.

A best friend will love you regardless of the stale french fries you left on the floor of your car, or when you had lice in 8th grade and no one wanted to talk to you.

Everybody gets sick once in a while, but getting sick while in college is the absolute worst. You're away from home and your mom who can take care of you and all you really want to do is just be in your own bed. You feel like you will have never-ending classwork to catch up on if you miss class, so you end up going sick and then it just takes longer to get better. Being sick in college is really tough and definitely not a fun experience. Here are the 15 stages that everyone ends up going through when they are sick at college.

Do as I say, not as I do.

Your eyes widen in horror as you stare at your phone. Beads of sweat begin to saturate your palm as your fingers tremble in fear. The illuminated screen reads, "Missed Call: Mom."

Growing up with strict parents, you learn that a few things go unsaid. Manners are everything. Never talk back. Do as you're told without question. Most importantly, you develop a system and catch on to these quirks that strict parents have so that you can play their game and do what you want.

"Friends" maybe didn’t have everything right or realistic all the time, but they did have enough episodes to create countless reaction GIFs and enough awesomeness to create, well, the legacy they did. Something else that is timeless, a little rough, but memorable? Living away from the comforts of home. Whether you have an apartment, a dorm, your first house, or some sort of residence that is not the house you grew up in, I’m sure you can relate to most of these!
