There's been thousands of these letters pop up lately and they all have things that are true, but this is mine to you personally.
Dear Future Husband,
I already love you. I'm already praying for you, for us, and even, for our future kiddos. I've been planning my heart for you. I've been preparing my life for you. You've constantly been in my heart and on my mind. I've openly prayer to our dear Lord for your safety and well being until he makes you mine.
I don't yet know you or the name of your mom or sisters, your favorite movie, or your favorite food. I don't know what type of music you enjoy, or the song you listen to when your sad. I don't know if you like to dance or if you like animals but more particular if you like dogs (hopefully you do because we'll have at least 10). I want to know everything about you. I want to know your favorite bible verse and why it's your favorite.
I want you to share with me your hopes, your dreams, and your fears because they matter to me. I want to hear about your day over dinner. I want to hold your hand while we watch a movie and kiss under the moon. I want to know what makes you tick, what things you enjoy, and everything that makes you who you are. I want to hold your hand through the scary parts in life and stand by your side until the end.
I know life will be filled with ups and downs but I'm ready to walk with you through them. I'll be your biggest supported in everything you do, whether that's switching jobs or running a marathon. We will have perfect moments and trying times but both will make us stronger. I want to give you everything life has to offer and show you off to the world.
Wherever you may be right now in life I hope you're doing fine, I hope life is treating you well and that all the cards are in your favor. I hope and pray that you stay safe until the Lord knows it's time to lead you to me. However long that may be, I'll wait.
The past has been rocky for both of us and the Lord knows that to be true. But He is fully preparing us for each other. Our past mistakes and choices will not matter when we become one. We are a clean slate, together we will make a future that is ours and a love that we cherish dearly.
My heart is being molded day and night to be someone you deserve and need. The Lord is teaching me things and laying things on my heart that prepare me for you. Some things that I don't understand now will soon come to light when I meet you. I am being shaped for you, and you are being shaped for me.
It may be 10 days, 10 months, or 10 years from now when I meet you, but when I do, I know that I'll know. I'll know we were meant for each other. Our love will last, because as long as we keep God number one we won't need anything else. I promise to put our family first. I promise to love you and remind you of that every day even when you think the worlds against you. I promise to cook your favorite meal when you want it, and to be your best friend. I promise that no matter where you are in life I'll be there.
Promise me that you'll kiss me in private--- but also, in public. Promise that you'll show me your love for me daily even if it's through the simple act of kissing my hand.
Pray with me. Lead me closer to God. Remind me why I love Jesus with a simple act of your faith. Don't build a wall across your heart but share your heart with me and I promise to always do the same.
I can't wait to have our first anniversary, to go back to the place we first met. I can't wait until we look into our babies eyes for the first time and experience love all over again. I can't wait to go on our first family vacation and take the kids to Disney, even though we'll probably enjoy it more than them. I can't wait to annoy and pester you and apologize for my childish ways with back rubs. I can't wait to sing at the top of our lungs together in the car, and dance in our underwear in the kitchen. I can't wait to grocery shop and cook together. I can't wait to fall asleep each night with the man I love. I can't wait to grow old together and sit in rocking chairs on the front porch watching our grand kids play.
You already mean so much to me. You're already on my mind and in my heart. I'm already so proud of the man you are and the man God is creating you to be. Thanks for being you.
xoxo, M.
