3 Things That Happened To Trump This Week

It isn't easy being POTUS.

Just in case you haven't been checking social media or haven't been updated on the news, President Trump has had a week of roller coasters, and a week that makes me prouder than ever to call him our Nation's president.

Here are three main things that happened this past week that you must know about.

1. President Trump Officially withdraws from the Paris Climate Agreement.

Liberals had a total frenzy over this. First things first, the Paris Climate Agreement officially states that Paris as well as other countries like the US were coming together in order to reduce fossil fuels. And although I am on-board with that idea, I did a little research on just what fossil fuels are. Technically they are oil, coal, and natural gas, but they also come from fertilizers, and maintaining landfills. That is where I started to think of the repercussions of the Paris Climate agreement. I live up in Northern Colorado where the majority of the people in the area make their living off of these types of fossil fuels. Weld County alone is one of Colorado's top providers. Taking oil wells away would put thousands of people out of work. Not to mention, it really hit home when people started talking about maintaining landfills. As the daughter of an owner of a widely successful Waste Company in the Denver-metro area, this really started to grind my gears. There will always be trash and until Boulder can invent some inexpensive way to recycle everything a human owns, then maybe they should stop thinking about robbing Americans of our jobs and focus on the weed they smoke.

Another thing about the Paris Climate agreement is jobs will always be one of the cornerstones of this country, it is the land of opportunity after all. That means jobs for anyone and everyone willing to put in the work. Mother earth is important, but If there were no jobs, the world wouldn't be sustainable which is just as big of a problem, survival of the fittest, socialism... do liberals actually read history books?

But in case that wasn't convincing, here are direct stats. If the Paris Climate Agreement would have gone into effect it would have destroyed 400,000 jobs by 2035. It would have increased household electricity costs by 20%, and resulted in a 2.5 trillion dollar loss in GDP. Yeah, and the Paris Climate agreement was a great idea. America is strong enough to come up with our own plan for renewable energy. No Paris Climate Agreement is a step in the right direction, rather than making other countries rich and us poor simply by following in Paris's footsteps.

2. Kathy Griffin went nuts

Katy Griffin, comedian and CNN employee, decided to post this little picture of herself with a decapitated Donald Trump head. I saw this and thought, "wow liberal celebrities are more nuts than I thought." Newsflash Kathy, the world doesn't revolve around celebrities only, hello "We the People". I decided to actually follow up on what her consequences would be if she wasn't one of these Hollywood Elite that has a discounted punishment just for being famous. Truth is that this picture is classified as threatening The United States of America, which is a class E Felony under United States Code Title 18, Section 871 [1][2][3]. " It consists of willing fully mailing or others making any threat to take the life of, to kidnap, or to inflict bodily harm upon the president of The United States"( Legal Information Institute). And liberals will be glad to know that this too is a law that protects Obama and other past presidents. The United States Secret Service are the people who are investigating this very case and there will be a court hearing. The normal punishments for doing so are up to five years in prison, fines, or a combination of the two (Legal Information Institute).

Personally, I don't think she should be able to buy her way out of this one because she needs to learn her lesson that protesting has gone too far this time. Hate speech and threatening doesn't only count if you're liberal, it counts if you live in this country, no matter what. Imagine what it feels like to be Barron Trump, an 11 year old that wakes up to this on social media threatening for his fathers life. This is something that causes children to have a fear simply for believing in family and what they believe to be right (which is). So keep that in mind, liberals, next time you try and threaten the life of the president of this great nation.

3. "Covfefe"

It was the tweet seen around the world that liberal political analysts just couldn't get enough of this past week. Speculation was that President Trump should have the decency to spell check if he is going to tweet. Well here you go, uneducated liberals, I did some digging and "Covfefe" is actually from the bible translating to "in the end we win". Meaning even though the fake news keeps reporting, in the end good rises above.
So god luck next week trying to destroy the greatest president the 21st century has ever known.

The 5 Painfully True Stages Of Camping Out At The Library

For those long nights that turn into mornings when the struggle is real.

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.

I know every college student has daily thoughts throughout their day. Whether you're walking on campus or attending class, we always have thoughts running a mile a minute through our heads. We may be wondering why we even showed up to class because we'd rather be sleeping, or when the professor announces that we have a test and you have an immediate panic attack.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate

"A Christmas Story" is the star on top of the tree.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate
Mental Floss

One staple of the Christmas season is sitting around the television watching a Christmas movie with family and friends. But of the seemingly hundreds of movies, which one is the star on the tree? Some share stories of Santa to children ("Santa Claus Is Coming to Town"), others want to spread the Christmas joy to adults ("It's a Wonderful Life"), and a select few are made to get laughs ("Elf"). All good movies, but merely ornaments on the Christmas tree of the best movies. What tops the tree is a movie that bridges the gap between these three movies, and makes it a great watch for anyone who chooses to watch it. Enter the timeless Christmas classic, "A Christmas Story." Created in 1983, this movie holds the tradition of capturing both young and old eyes for 24 straight hours on its Christmas Day marathon. It gets the most coverage out of all holiday movies, but the sheer amount of times it's on television does not make it the greatest. Why is it,
then? A Christmas Story does not try to tell the tale of a Christmas miracle or use Christmas magic to move the story. What it does do though is tell the real story of Christmas. It is relatable and brings out the unmatched excitement of children on Christmas in everyone who watches. Every one becomes a child again when they watch "A Christmas Story."
