AmeriKKKa Is Living Its Realest Life Right Now

People are just being blatant with the racist acts and simply don't care because they know their living in a world with a system that says these things are ok to do.

If you don't have a phone, a computer, or some sort of news source you might not even know what type of radical events happened this past weekend.

This weekend's events showed us what kind a world we live in and what type of president that was elected to defend these acts.

This past weekend August 12th, white supremacists in Charlottesville, Virginia began to riot during the rally "Unite the Right" because their precious statue of Robert E.Lee was being removed.

Now if you do not know who Robert E. Lee is, he served as a military officer in the U.S. Army, a West Point commandant and the legendary general of the Confederate Army during the American Civil War according to History.com.

The Confederate Army has been known to have very racist views since the beginning, so when the statue was voted to be removed, people in Charlottesville with the same views as the Confederate Army and Lee were highly upset.

That's when the protest was formed by current and former KKK members, white supremacists and White Nazi's.

Now if you are unaware of white privilege is, watch a few videos from this weekend and you'll understand the definition.

White privilege is basically when white people are allowed to do things, and have things that are not allowed for people of other races, and it's acceptable.Police were at these riots, and I saw very few videos of police harming the white supremacist, restrining them, or physically assaulting them.

Now if this was a black issue, police would have been so quick to pull out the batons, mace, dogs, and any weapon close to them.

White protestors formed a wall to push against the police officers while the officers did nothing except push back with their shields.

Now if the tables were turned there would be no pushing back, all you would hear on the news is "black protesters assaulted officers" or "black protesters would not cooperate" leading to either death or injuries of the black protestors.

Then for once the president is silent, usually Trump is so quick to tweet about an incident, it wasn't until Sunday that Trump finally spoke out, but not to defend the innocent victims that were harmed such as Heather D. Heyer or Deandre Harris, but to state that their were two sides to blame, instead of recognizing that just because you don't agree with the statue removal does not mean you can cause destruction and promote violence acts.

The two sides Trump was referring to were the Nazi protesters and the counter protesters. The counter were all for the statue being removed while the Nazi's wanted the statue to remain.

Deandre Harris suffered from a concussion, an ulnar fracture, a laceration on his right eyebrow, a chipped tooth and bruises to his knees and elbows according to Vibe.com. These are all injuries brought upon him from the white supremacist as they shouted "die nigger" during the beating.

Heather Heyer was killed by James Fields during the rally according to Essence magazine. Fields drove through the crowd of counter protesters at full speed killing Heyer and injuring 19 people. Fields was arrested and sentenced while Harris attackers have not be retained yet.

These events just show that America has always been racist, but most of the acts are done in quiet. Now people are just being blatant with the racist acts and simply don't care because they know their living in a world with a system that says these things are ok to do.

18 Things I Want To Do Now That I'm 18

I'm technically an adult, so I'm legally required to live a little, right?

For the entirety of my high school career, I was always seen as the goody-two-shoes. I never got in trouble with a teacher, I kept stellar grades, and when I wasn't doing extracurricular activities, I was at home studying. Even when I did go out, it was usually with a bunch of fellow band geeks. The night would end before 11:00 PM and the only controversial activity would be a fight based on who unfairly won a round of Apples-to-Apples when someone else clearly had a better card (I promise I'm not still holding a grudge).

Now that I'm officially an adult, I want to pursue some new things. I want to experience life in a way that I never allowed myself to do prior to entering college. These are the years that I'm supposed to embark on a journey of self-discovery, so what better way to do that than to create a bucket list?

I've been super busy lately with school work, studying, etc. Besides the fact that I do nothing but AP chemistry and AP economics, I constantly think of stupid questions that are almost impossible to answer. So, maybe you could answer them for me, and if not then we can both wonder what the answers to these 15 questions could be.
