Amber Rose uploaded a partially nude picture to promote her participation the Slut Walk and the picture broke the internet. She is a public figure that is mostly known as a video vixen who dated Kanye West and was married to Wiz Khalifa. She also has her own tv show on one of the MTV networks. In the photo, she is laying on some stairs with a bikini top and no bottoms but her nether regions are covered with a bush of pubic hair.
Some people saw the photo and were horrified. I did not see anything wrong about the photo. She has a beautiful body for a mother. The problem for others was clearly her body hair. The reason why I was unbothered by her showcasing her pubic hair is that humans are known to grow hair. It is a human normality that did not take away from her sexuality or femininity.
Men were complaining on social media that hair on a woman's lady parts is unacceptable and unattractive. That is just childish. It is childish because the only beings that don't have body hair are small children. If a man says that my woman has to have absolutely no hair down there, it is a bit of a red flag. It's natural for grown adults to have body hair. I admire Amber Rose for being comfortable in her natural state. Amber Rose can make anything trendy and cool.
She makes being bald look cool. She made Wiz Khalifa look cool. Now she is exposing the natural truth of women having a bush where the sun does not shine. Meanwhile, I would not have posted that pic on the internet if I was her. Picture going to a job interview after your fame runs out and your employer has seen you practically naked. That is just me. The picture should help us open the conversation about reality versus fantasy when it comes down to men's expectations of women. She is trying to promote body positivity. That picture has sparked the hashtag "Free The Bush." I fully support the movement. To men complaining about how it's gross, grow up.
In the meantime, Kim Kardashian became famous from a sex tape and ever since then she has been posting her nudes on social media just for sport. She just loves being seen naked. She is not earning any real money from these nude photos. At least with Amber uses nudity to make a point and support a movement. This picture tells women that it is okay to have noticeable body hair. Women are taught that their private areas must be shaved in order to be sexy. In this photo, Amber Rose debunks that myth and encourages body positivity.
