My mother prides herself on her recent K-Pop discoveries, the most notable being the male idol group BtoB and Amber Liu, a former member of the girl group f(x). When we talk about Amber, we speak fondly, as if discussing a friend instead of an idol. That's because we truly love and admire her. For me, Amber is someone I seek to learn from and someone I aspire to be like.
4. She's Honest
Amber uses her art and her voice to express who she really is. And, as evidenced in this clip, she can be comedically honest too.
I can't know how hard she has had to work to become such a bright, positive light, but I love Amber for who she is. Just by existing and living her life, she makes me stronger.
