Amazon Appreciation Post

Amazon Prime is the answer to (almost) all of my problems.

I have come to the conclusion that I may just like online shopping more than shopping in person. Not for clothes or shoes necessarily–but everything else. I'm simply all about convenience aka I'm lazy, so anything that involves me only having to click a few buttons to get what I want is the bomb.com (Amazon.com).

1. Prime

The holy grail of all online shopping offers. Free 2-day shipping warms my heart. There's just something so annoying about the thought of paying $12 in shipping for my $10 item on other websites.

2. Student discounts

While Amazon Prime is pretty affordable for anyone, it is especially affordable if you use a .edu email. One of those college perks that needs to be known by every student ever.

3. Best prices on things you need and want

Phone cases, laptop chargers, home decor, sports gear–you name it, Amazon has it and for cheap which is music to all college kids' ears.

4. Great deals on expensive items

Not only are there some great inexpensive finds on Amazon, they also have amazing prices and bundles on high ticket items such as T.V.'s, cameras, and laptops.

5. Buy-Now option

This option is as amazing as it is detrimental. You can save all of your default payment and shipping information and buy anything on Amazon with literally one click of a button.

6. Save for later

This is one of my favorite features of the website. It basically allows you to create an online wishlist and easily reference any of the items to order at a later time.

7. Textbook rentals

Every college student knows the absolute pain associated with buying textbooks. Amazon offers a super reliable rental system for textbooks that makes your life so much easier and saves you some serious dough.

8. Customer service

I have always been a huge fan of Amazon's customer service. I haven't had too many problems with any of my orders over the years, but the few that I have, have been taken care of to the fullest extent. Plus their phone line is probably the quickest I've ever reached a company, which gives them major brownie points.

9. The reviews

I'm the kind of buyer that wants to know what everyone thinks about the item I'm considering purchasing. Amazon reviewers tend to be blatantly honest and detailed in their reviews which is super helpful and also pretty entertaining.

10. Amazon brand items

Name brands are cool and all but I live for a good generic brand item. Amazon's brand of electronics and electronic accessories are such good quality, I really can't say enough good things.

11. A way to find old favorites

In the past, I have found myself randomly remembering a movie that I loved growing up, or randomly saw once and need to have in my collections. Every time I have been able to find exactly what I want with just a simple search on Amazon, it's the best.

To the creators of my favorite website, I thank you. I have spent entirely too much money on your website and I don't even regret it.

Sincerely,

A Loyal Amazon Lover

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!

RBF, or resting b*tch face, is a serious condition that many people suffer from worldwide. Suffers are often bombarded with daily questions such as "Are you OK?" and "Why are you so mad?" If you have RBF, you've probably had numerous people tell you to "just smile!"
