Let me just start off by saying, I have never been more proud to have seen a Spidey film with this many villains and this much action. It boasts more villains and has the immense force behind it.
Okay, before I get into my opinions, let me give you a brief synopsis of the film. Peter Parker/ Spider-man (Andrew Garfield) is seen web-slinging down the streets, in an attempt to apprehend Aleksei Sytsevich (Paul Giamatti). After doing so, Spidey stumbles upon and saves an electrical engineer named Max Dillon. After the rescue, Max grows obsessed with Spider-Man, but after having an accident in an Oscorp lab and falling into a pool of genetically-modified eels, Max becomes the evil electrical force known as Electro.
This movie showcases some of Spider-man's deadliest foes and Marc Webb creates this world with such style and finesse. Although you might think that Electro looks like Arnold Schwarzenegger's portrayal of Mr. Freeze in 1997's god-awful "Batman and Robin". Nevertheless, Jamie Foxx gives off an "electrifying" performance as electrical super villain.
And who could ever forget about Dane DeHaan's portrayal as the Green Goblin? I think that we can all agree that that young man is very talented with a bright acting career awaiting him. He as the Green Goblin will make your hair stand up on ends. He gives off this Wicked Witch of the West-esque performance when you see him flying around on his glider and cackling creepily. Willem Dafoe, eat your heart out, sir. Dane DeHaan has taken the mantle of Goblin. It's too bad Garfield won't be playing Spider-man anymore.
