I'm going to be a sophomore at the University of Arizona this upcoming year. Currently, I'm interning at an amazing company called Belkin. Belkin creates routers, phone accessories, cables, etc...basically anything to do with technology. I'm so grateful to have landed this internship. I've been working here for approximately three days, and I am already in love with my internship.
I wish I could disclose what I do at work, but only super cool people get to know what happens in the world of digital marketing. I'm a marketing intern for Belkin and my manager is the coolest person. The people at Belkin are so friendly and the atmosphere is so chill. I can truly feel comfortable. I can't describe how amazing it is to meet these people and develop a connection with them. They make work fun for me, I mean who can say that they actually love work and what they do? These people put so much effort and time into what they're doing with the company and it's amazing to be part of such a hardworking team.
The office is right near the LAX airport and although it's a long drive for me, it's totally worth it. The office is huge, it shocked me when I first visited the office. Belkin takes up two buildings with three floors in each building. Marketing has always been interesting to me, specifically digital marketing. It's so cool to see what happens behind the closed doors of a company. I love to see how people put together websites and how much work they put in to create HTML's and photos and descriptions to depict on the website.
I suggest students apply for internships during college. It's a great way to learn and grow in the work place and a person as a whole. Along with meeting so many amazing people to look up to here, I feel like I'm growing as a person.
