Being away at college can get really hard sometimes but what makes it even harder is being far away from your closest friends and family. Some days when you just need someone to talk to that really knows you, it can make you feel completely alone. I’ve had a few of these days lately that left me missing my best friend back home more than you can imagine.

So, to that wonderful best friend, I want to thank you for your amazing friendship and all these things that you do for me.

Thank you for…

1. Letting me vent

We both know I get a little carried away about certain things (mostly the same things over and over again) but you always listen patiently and to be listened to is such an amazing feeling.

2. Supporting my passions

I’ve worked so hard on my photography and my writing and you show equal pride in me. I could tell you I want to become a competitive knitter and you would stand by me.

3. Always being up for a beach trip

As one of those people that is always excited to go do things when other people would rather hang out at home, thank you for always wanting to go do things with me, beach trips, days at universal, mall trips and days when we’ve done all of the above are why I love you

4. Coming whenever I need you (even if you are a little late)

You would drive the ten hours between us at the drop of a hat if I needed you too and I know that. Although you are late to literally everything it’s what makes you you and I love that too.

5. Buying as much as me when we go shopping

We both go a little overboard when we go shopping but the crazy things we spend money on are half the reason we work so well.

6. Showing me that it’s okay to be a sweet girl

In a world where the idea of being a badass is valued above being a nice person, you show me that you can, in fact, be both, and you do it so beautifully.

7. Making me feel comfortable

Most of all, thank you for making me feel like I can always be my silly, anxious, weird, intense self without any judgment because you’ll always love me no matter what.

birthday party

My birthday has never been my favorite holiday. I've found that I'm more excited to celebrate my friends' and family members' birthdays more than my own. I don't like being the center of attention, so I usually celebrate over dinner with a small group of family and friends. This way, I can enjoy myself naturally without feeling like I have to entertain everyone and make sure they are satisfied. In the past when I've had large parties, I was so nervous that people weren't perfectly content that I didn't enjoy myself at my own celebration.

College Informations

Most of us have already started the spring semester, and for those of you who haven't started yet, you suck.

It seems like coming back from winter break wouldn't really be a break all things considered, since we all come back to school and pick up right where we left off. We know exactly what to expect, yet we're unprepared every single time.

I'm serious

There are tons of unisex names that are popular: Taylor, Alex, Bailey, etc. There are also numerous names that are used for both sexes, but they’re not seen as “unisex” yet. People are slowly becoming accustomed to the dual use of these names, but for the most part, in their minds they associate certain names with certain sexes. And that leaves those of us with these names in many awkward situations.

CSU

I'm an anthropology major, and I love every minute of it. I couldn't tell you why, but I guess there's just something about studying different lifestyles that absolutely fascinates me. But anthropology majors definitely have our weird sides, especially when you go to a school that is filled with mostly Business and Bio majors. But us weirdos definitely have a lot in common, specifically these 16 things.

pale girl

Everyone has insecurities, that's just a fact. You didn't ask to be born this way. You didn't ask to inherit the one trait no one else in your family has. And you definitely didn't ask to be this ghostly white. But as soon as you've learned to live with it for a while (less wrinkles later on in life, right? right???) someone has to ruin it for you. They have to flaunt they're perfectly tanned body from Spring Break and hold their sun-kissed skin against yours. But I've had enough... here are the things that perpetually pale individuals are tired of hearing.
