I Am Going Braless!

I am absolutely tired of being confined by my bra. Undergarments are great, they support, look sexy, hold you in, but most of the time I just hate them. I feel like I only wear a bra because other people are uncomfortable with the fact that I have nipples. OH NO!!! I hang out with more men than women, and they are often not wearing a shirt. Guess what guys, you have nipples too and I can see them!

Nipples are universal yet only women's are sexualized. It does not seem fair that women’s nipples are looked at differently than men’s. Although women’s nipples have a purpose if a women has a baby, but what about the rest of the time, or what about the women that never have a baby? There are so many double standards in this world and I feel like to confront them you are labeled as a feminist. Well guess what?! I am not a feminist. I do not consider myself a feminist, I do not always agree with the fight that feminist are fighting, but this does not mean I do not see the double standards. A woman named Caresse Crosby invented the bra, according to Google. I wonder if she would be amazed by all the different bras and styles of bras that are out today. Aside from a sports bra, I don’t think bras are comfortable. I even search and buy bras without underwire because after you’ve had two or three bras stab you out of nowhere that shit needs to go!

So I am going to try this for a while. I am not small breasted either, I am coming in at a DD. It might get interesting some days. I used to live in a place with stairs and I had to hold my breasts when coming down the stairs as to not hit myself in the face. So I am wondering how it is going to play out. I am wondering if I will be treated differently, and if people will stare at my chest more. Like I have said in an earlier article, I do not wear low cut clothing; I am covered up all the time. I also normally wear a tank top underneath my shirts which should make my nipples more discrete. I am so excited. I want to let the ta-tas out! I want to feel free. Most of all I am excited not to have red marks on my body at the end of the day from a bra! There are meme’s all over the internet about what a woman does when she gets home: takes off her bra. That moment is liberating. I think I will feel more liberated all day if I never even put a bra on! So here goes nothing, I am going to let the girls out.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
