The events that occurred in the past week and that have occurred all throughout history make me sick. Alton Sterling. Philando Castile. Sandra Bland. Mike Brown. And so many others who died by the hands of police officers.
Police brutality is becoming a larger and more powerful being in this world and it needs to stop. When I see any African American in my life, I pray that the never get pulled over. And when I see someone in a police uniform I can never look at them without disrespect.
They are here to serve and protect and all they do is either kill or let their partners kill.
I am scared to death because my death may be next. My life matters. All Black Lives matter.
I don’t understand why this #BlackLivesMatter movement isn’t making sense to anyone. Why isn’t everyone for it? We never said "Black Lives Matter more", we are saying Black Lives Matter. Period.
We are a dying race. Everywhere you look, we as African Americans are being beaten and killed. We are being seen as threats. And no one wants to help protect us. United we stand, divided we fall. Right now, we are crumbling.
I am scared for my life because a nation that is submerged in diversity, does not promote that diversity. They destroy it.
We are being killed. Don’t you get that? People are attacking us, murdering us and telling us to shut up as they steal our culture and use it as aesthetic.
Does anybody realize that a genocide is occurring? Genocide is defined as the deliberate killing of a large group of people, especially those of a particular ethnic group or nation. This.is.a.genocide.
And no one is doing something about it.
Killing people who have killed isn’t the solution. Stand up and say something. Like Mike Brown said, "Stop. Shooting.”
Violence doesn’t cure violence.
But to those who do not wish to stand with us are the problem. Find your inner ignorance and release it. It isn’t needed anymore.
Raise awareness. Seek help. Be supportive. Fight for justice. Demand justice.
To my African American brothers and sisters, we will get through this. I see this. I feel this. We will overcome this. African Americans need a safe space. Why can’t that be in this nation?
We need to end this violence. Because the revolution is fast approaching. Instead of Katniss, we have Blackness. And there is no way of stopping it.
