If you know me or you have seen my Tigger phone case, you know how obsessed I am with the Hundred Acre Wood. When I was little, I practically lived and breathed everything related to Winnie the Pooh and his friends. I was lucky and blessed enough to have been surrounded with a storybook world that always made me happy. A storybook world that I always could go to when I was feeling upset or when things in my life caused me stress. 20-years later, the Hundred Acre Wood still has the same effect on me.
1. It releases my inner child
When I hear anything related to Winnie the Pooh, my inner child comes out. I become 5 years old again and singing "The most wonderful thing about Tiggers" over 50 times. Growing up and even now, whenever I see Winnie the Pooh at Walt Disney World, I jump up and down and have the biggest smile on my face. Not because they're lovable characters but because they were/are my favorite Disney characters (next to Mickey and Minnie).
2. It makes me happy
I know what you're thinking, of course it would make you happy but it's not just that it makes me happy, it gives me pure joy. It makes my heart happy, it gives me a sparkle in my eye and makes me smile. Even during in my darkest times, the Winnie the Pooh theme song or anything Winnie the Pooh related made me have the biggest smile. To some people that might be childish and stupid, but it gave me amazing memories growing up.
3. It makes me nostalgic
It makes me remember how my childhood was and how happy I was growing up. It reminds me of the time where I would race home from school just to watch Winnie the Pooh on repeat.
4. The characters are like my childhood best friends
Growing up watching Winnie The Pooh and his friends and playing the video games made me feel like they were my childhood friends. They were there to make me feel better on my sad days or to make my good days better.
5. It will always welcome you back
No matter who old you are, Winnie the Pooh always welcomes you back and makes you remember your childhood. I'll forever be thankful that my childhood was filled with the silly ole bear.
