For as long as I can remember, I don't believe the words "man, it is so hot out" have ever come from my mouth. And even if it has, it was something that never bothered me. You see, I am always, indefinitely, unfortunately, freezing. You might be wondering, is this girl serious? Yes, yes I am. Ask any of the people that unfortunately have to hear about this on a day to day basis.
I mean really, its the summertime, and here I am, still cold. A hint of wind blows by? You bet I've got goosebumps. Always being cold is a little hindering. For instance, heading out to dinner you already know the A.C will be cranking and you better bring a sweatshirt.
No matter what season it is, it's a MUST to always sleep with a blanket. I think that by this point it's normal to constantly have a blanket around wherever you are. Like, when you go to your friends house and immediately request a blanket.
Besides constantly being cold, after bundling up and trying to regulate our body temperature it makes us so tired. We're already half way to a nap, we might as well just take one at this point. Yes, I believe always being cold makes me much more tired than usual! All our friends can agree, we are never without a blanket, and can fall asleep at any given time and most of the time do.
Planning to go out always revolves around the temperature, and if you can pull off a sweater. You're always over dressed and preparing for somebody to have the windows down, ac blasting, fans on and you being in the corner in the fetal position.
It's a hot day and you're driving around with the A.C. on, you know it'll be annoying to turn it off, because in a couple minutes it'll be back on again. Also, if you're in your friends car you definitely cannot be asking them to turn it off. You find yourself suffering through goosebumps and cold air swirling around your skin.
You attempt to go swimming and immediately regret your decision once you realize getting out means the air will not mix well with the water on your skin. This obviously means that the cold air will cause a freezing wet body to run for the nearest towel possible, then probably a sweatshirt and sweatpants.
The air is no joke, it can make or break every cold persons mood. You wake up planning an outfit, you walk outside hoping there is no wind, and you see a cloud coming and panic. It's not fun always being cold. It is more exhausting than anything. Sometimes, blankets aren't allowed.
So, next time you see a beautiful day and somebody rocking their winter attire still... please understand.
