Friendship doesn't always have to be about going out and doing all of these crazy things. The best friendships are the ones that you are just as happy sitting on your couches together doing nothing as you are when you are out on some adventure. The people you can sit in silence with are the ones who will be standing with you are your wedding day.
But that doesn't mean you shouldn't take those adventures. You only have so much time in your life that you are free. Where you don't have a ton of responsibilities, where you still have money you can throw away, and when you can drink your heart out without feeling like you're dead for 3 days afterwards. This time is precious, it's fleeting, and it's rare.
So go, somewhere, anywhere with your best friends.
It doesn't have to be something huge. It could be a Thursday night when you find a drag show bar in Philly (Bob and Barbara's, you won't regret it). It could be a weekend trip to D.C. or a week away in Florida. It could be a day in someone's hometown or a Atlantic City birthday weekend. It could be whatever you want it to be but do it. Stop thinking about it and go, stop saying, oh I have homework to do or I have an early shift and just go.
With Groupon, Google, and a little extra work none of this has to be expensive. Believe me, I am the first to say I am poor but I have found ways to do it all. Take the chance while you can to adventure at 10pm to Sonic which is 45 minutes away because you really want a corn dog. Or to go to a 90s Roller Skating Rink because who doesn't love everything about that. Or to spend that extra $10 for a drink because it looks just that good.
Take the adventures, they will tell you more about yourself than any night in ever could. And if you do it with your best friends, you'll make the best memories too. Life is always fleeting so why not make the most it while you can.
