I have lived in areas that have Wawas around every corner for my entire life. Because of this, it has come as a huge shock to me when people do not share my love for Wawa, or worse still, do not even know what a Wawa is.
“Wawa? What is that?” Only the best place to get basically anything you need at any time. Wawas are mainly a tri-state area or Northeast deal, so most people who are not residing in the Northeast do not even understand our obsession with Wawa. And honestly, what is the obsession? I did not even think I was that obsessed with Wawa until I heard someone saying they just did not understand why we were all so obsessed. Of course, at this point my South Jersey, three-Wawas-in-my-tiny-hometown self was appalled. I mean, what’s not to love about Wawa? Their slogan is literally, “Gottahava Wawa,” and it is most definitely true. But we really are obsessed. Wawa is not even a convenience store at this point, it is way more like a lifestyle. You go to the beach for the day, you get a Wawa hoagie. You’re driving for a while, you stop and get gas at Wawa where you do not have to pump your own gas (only in Jersey, of course). Wawa started out as a convenience store but has become so much more. At this point it is literally a staple of the Northeast. Something we have, and everyone else should want.
Truly, nothing compares to Wawa. I seriously can’t even imagine not living right near a Wawa, or five. For those not in the Northeast, what is it actually like not having any Wawas? What is it like only having 7-Elevens or Sheetz or whatever else your particular area has? The biggest question I have is like what do you do without a Wawa? This is my thank you to Wawas everywhere.
Thank you for always being there for anything, at basically any time. And also thank you for creating Sizzlis. Like how amazing are those? A nice, hot sandwich waiting for you at any time (up until 11 a.m.). A little known fact about the Sizzlis is that they actually will make them any time of day if you just ask. See, not only is this article a reflection of my true love for Wawa, but you are also learning some new facts about the chain itself.
So shoutout to Wawa, obviously, for always having the best of everything. But also shoutout to people like myself and others in the Northeast who are so obsessed with Wawa that we keep the business thriving. Thank you for always having everything we need, and also for being abundant in my area. Truly a blessing to be able to go on Wawa runs whenever I want.
