The Alley Is Where You Should Be Goin Up On A Tuesday

Why the second day of the work week is the best time to bowl in Charleston, SC.

The Alley Is Where You Should Be Goin Up On A Tuesday

Mondays: we hate them. Friday was fun, as was Saturday, and you probably spent your Sunday making attempts at recuperation... But Monday is different. Monday is ripping the Band Aid off of the sore that is reality and getting punched in the stomach at the same time.

Tuesdays, however, are a different story. By Tuesday, you're feeling a little more optimistic about things now that the worst is over. You're still ready for the weekend, however, and it still seems lightyears away. With last week's adventures still fresh in your mind, you're having emotional trouble with the thought of waiting three more days to do anything fun.

It's still too early in the week to get crazy, and the last thing you want to do is spend a lot of money before next weekend - so what better way to spend your Tuesday night than to bowl?

Yes. I said bowl. You probably haven't done it in a while, but in case you were wondering it pairs quite nicely with beer and is a great mid-week fun-jolt.

For College of Charleston students, The Alley downtown is the place to be. Tuesday nights are $2 games, shoe rentals, and canned beer, so it really doesn't get much better. Grab three or four friends and you've got yourself a team.

Hungry? Yes, they have food, too. Get your boiled peanut fix while you bowl, or try a Chicken & Waffles Slider for a twist on a classic Southern favorite. Also, white cheddar grits are available as a side option - I don't think I need to say much more.

Just don't knock it till you try it. Just because bowling shoes are maybe less than fashionable than your Converses and cranberry vodka has been your signature drink for a long as you can remember, it doesn't mean you can't try something new. So next Tuesday, head to The Alley and roll through the rest of your week with ease.
