All The Things Rachel Green Taught Us

We are all beyond obsessed with all of the vibrant and relatable characters from Friends, but after watching all 10 seasons more than three times all the way through, I realized that I learned the most valuable lessons from Rachel Green. Don't judge me. All the girls want to be her and all the guys want to date her. Rachel, who is seen as the spoiled-brat daddy's girl, finds herself all over again with the help of these five friends.

Rachel, who decides on her wedding day not to marry rich dentist Berry, feels like she's hit rock bottom. Rachel, even in her late 20's, teaches us it's never to late to start over. Even though Rachel and her parents had her whole life planned out for her, Rachel decided that she wasn't going to settle for less than what she deserved. Starting over may be scary but in the end it's worth it. If you wake up one morning and no longer want to be a shoe then guess what? You don't have to the shoe anymore! You have the power to decide how you want your life to be.

Rachel also teaches us how to leave toxic friends and make new friends. Rachel, who has shallow and meaningless friendships with other rich friends, realizes that she deserves to have better friends. Although these 'friends' may act as a safety net for you they are not worth it. In your life you want people who are always going to raise you up not bring you down. No matter what age it is always possible to make new friends you just have to put yourself out there.

Rachel gives us hope that it's okay to be a crappy waitress and then eventually find your passion in life. Even while all of her friends have successful jobs and careers, she decides to give up her parent's money and start from scratch. It's also extremely important to work hard at what you are doing so that you can climb your way up the ladder. Always know though that it's okay if you don't know what your passion is in life but you should go out and find it.

Rachel teaches us it's never too late to fall in love with our childhood friends. Even though in high school Rachel barely even noticed Ross, they later on fall in love and *spoiler alert* get married and have some children. Whether it is your childhood friend you fall in love with or the man in the grocery store it's never too late for love. Rachel has taught us to never give up on love because in the end you run off a plane to find the man you love and it all works out happily ever after.

Listen to Rachel. Can Rachel Green do anything wrong? Well, yes she can and that's why we love her. In Rachel we trust.

College isn't easy, and I'm afraid I'm not going to make it at the rate my mental health is going.

Everyone tells you that college is hard, but they fail to explain why. Sure, classes are hard. Math sucks, and political science can be so boring. But that's not even what's killing me about college. What's killing me about college is my deterioating mental health.

As a college student, I feel as if people don't understand just how exhausted I, and fellow college students are. We have so many things going on, all the time, and sometimes it's hard to explain to people how we feel. Personally...I'm tired. I'm sad. And I'm struggling every single day with my emotions. But the thing is, it hasn't always been this way. I haven't always hated school, so why am I feeling like this now?
