Summer 2016 has been one for the books. New music has been dropping daily and artists all over have been releasing track after track, giving you and your homies some good tunes to rock out and vibe to. With school starting up again, having a playlist of songs with great memories and messages attached to them will be sure to help push you through the semester.

1. Feel No Ways

Champagne Papi sent us an album from the gods when he released "Views." This track has had you bumping and jumping for months and will give you just the right amount of "feel good" to get you through the day.

2. Broccoli

D.R.A.M and Lil Yachty wanted to remind you to always keep your veggie game strong. A good song to turn on if you're cooking something up in the kitchen or if you need a reminder to just let the stupid stuff go.

3. Needed Me

This song by Rihanna hits hard every time it's played. The Queen herself just wanted to make sure y'all knew that she doesn't need you at all but you sure need her (don't get it twisted). Listen to this track if you're feeling down on yourself because good ole RiRi won't have you feeling that way for long.

4. Angels

I have mad love for my boy Chance, The Rapper and he did not disappoint with his new album. I picked this song because it's written out of pure love for his city and speaks to holding it down for his day ones. Sometimes it's easy to get caught up in life and you lose sight of yourself, but play this song and you'll remember where you came from and how far you've come. Although growth is good, you can't forget your roots.

5. Cold Water

A newer song they've been playing on the radio, Major Lazer and J. Biebs collaborated to make this catchy track. This song is about being there for someone that needs you love and support. During the semester, you may feel like you're sinking, but there will always be a lifeline to latch onto and pull you to safety.

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

As an English Major in college, I have a lot of writing and especially creative writing pieces that I work on throughout the semester and sometimes, I'll find it hard to get the motivation to type a few pages and the thought process that goes behind it. These are eleven thoughts that I have as a writer while writing my stories.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
