Keep Pushing Through Whatever You Are Dealing With

Did you ever think what the world would be like without you?

Well don't because there is so much more to the world than you think. You just have yet to see it.

Many of us are at the age where we have to start acting like adults and leave our childhoods in the past. I have struggled with this part in my life this past year, well because who honestly wants to grow up? It is apart of life, but it should never be a reason why you would question your existence, no circumstance is that harsh. God put us on this earth to make a difference not to question ourselves.

I have to constantly tell myself, "It will get better". Why you may ask. Because being a college student with depression and anxiety is never easier. There are days when my depression will consume me and make me believe staying in bed is best for me. Yes, it is comforting to lay in a bed all day and do nothing, but if I let that happen, then I am letting depression get the best of me. Life tends to be unfair sometimes, but you have to keep pushing and fighting. You deserve to be here as much as anyone else does.

I know I am not alone in this. You are not alone either in any situation. Mostly everyone will go through life and come across a conflict quite like mine or even yourself. It took me awhile to realize this. Please don't take too long to realize it before it is too late.

Life is a about making the best out of it every day. Once I started letting all the negativity out of my life and kept reassuring myself that I have a voice in this, I became to realize that this life isn't too bad after all. You just have to push through it. There is so much joy and adventure in life. I cannot wait to see what my life has in store for me. I know if I continue to tell myself that I am okay and that it does better, then I will be exactly where I want to be with my happiness and life. If you feel the same way as I did then I am telling you now; You are the only person who can help yourself. It all starts with you.

There is much more out in the world. Do not constantly limit yourself because you are scared, you can make a difference in the world. When I stopped limiting myself, that is when I start enjoying and appreciating my life more. Be brave, be kind, but most importantly; BE YOU! The world would most definitely not be the same without you. You are one of a kind.

If it hurts now, it'll hurt again. Not because you're gullible or naive, only because you fall fast, hard, and you do it every time.

We fall each and every time with the complete and utter confidence that someone will be there to catch us. Now that person we SWORE we were never going to fall for has our hearts, and every time we see them our palms start sweating. The butterflies in our stomach start to soar and our hearts are entirely too close to bursting out of our chests.

Yes, it IS a sport. Yes, I fall all the time. No, I do not ride in jeans with a cowgirl hat on.

Growing up I have always wanted to own a horse. My grandparents own a well known equestrian facility in Georgia, so I have been riding since I was born. A bond between a person and their horse is a bond so strong that it cannot be broken. Everywhere I went I wanted to be around horses, even forcing my family to go on trail rides during vacations. Horses have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember has taught me great responsibility, as well as 14 things that all equestrians can relate to.

College is super hard. Between working, studying, and having a social life, it feels like a struggle to just keep afloat.

I understand. When you feel like your drowning and there's no way to stay afloat I understand that it feels like everyone else is doing just fine. I understand all the frustration, long nights in the library, and that feeling that you want to just throw in the towel. I understand that sometimes it's too hard to get out of bed because your brain is already filled with too much information to remember. I understand because I am also feeling pretty burnt out.

No Matter How Challenging School Gets, You Have To Put Your Health First — A Degree Won't Mean Anything If You're Dead

Some of the best advice I've ever received was from my social studies teacher in sophomore year of high school. He stated, "If you don't know it at midnight, you're not going to know it for the 8 a.m. exam, so get some sleep."

It's such a simple piece of advice, but it holds so much accuracy and it's something that the majority of college students need to hear and listen to. "All-nighters" are a commonality on college campuses in order to cram in studying for an exam that is typically the next day.
