I have been following the @Terra_torry page on social media for a few months now. I first heard about the brand's owner, Kimberly Waldropt, through an event hosted by @shoponesunday where she spoke of her natural soap line catered to eczema prone and sensitive skin.
For those of you who aren't familiar, eczema is a condition that causes the skin to become itchy and inflamed.
I dealt with this condition severely in childhood where I would have significant patches on my inner arms and thighs. Although I still get patches in my adulthood those instances are few and far between but as a result I am always conscious about the kind of products I use.
Aside from Terra-Tory's story of origin, read more here, what gained my interest was the use of natural ingredients like aloe, plantains, coconut milk, sea moss and much more.
In addition, I was attracted by the complete push from the use of artificial and harmful toxins.
It took a little bit of research but after uncovering the many gems that this brand offers I was ready to make my first purchase.
So, I ordered the sweet plantain + coffee scrub cube.
I did not have to wait long before receiving my order but let me tell you that I was constantly tracking the package and anxiously running to my window whenever I heard any sign of a truck.
When the package finally made it to my doorstep my excitement got the best of me, so much so that I forgot to document it but let me tell you that the simple and yet elegant packaging heightened my excitement. Oh! And the smell from the soap made me hop in the shower immediately to test it out.
I have now been using the Terra Tory soap for a few weeks and already I ask myself how I survived this long without it. Unlike many soaps that have left my skin feeling dry and itchy this soap does the opposite.
My skin happily absorbs the nutrient-dense ingredients and the exfoliating particles of coffee gently rids my skin of dead cells.
If you experience ezcema, skin sensitivity or just want to try something new I urge you to give this brand a try.
You've heard it before, the skin is the human body largest organ. So, when you feel a certain change like extreme dryness, itching etc... you ought to listen because it is your skin's way of communicating that something is wrong and that something could be your body soap.
