Going to an all-girls Catholic high school is a way different experience than what you'd typically expect a normal high school experience to be. Attending a catholic high school brings a certain set of rules and regulations that need to be followed, but also opens a whole new set of experiences and learning opportunities for all students.

1. The Rules

The rules in your regular co-ed high school are probably much different than the rules in a catholic school. In most private or catholic schools, it is required of all students to wear a uniform every day. This uniform usually consists of a collared shirt, a skirt, and knee socks. There are certain shoe regulations that you had to abide by. These included: your shoes have to be close toed, and your shoes could not come above your ankles. Your hair also had to be a natural color, so you couldn't color your hair green, purple, blue etc. You also weren't allowed to carry around backpacks. If any of these rules were broken, you would receive either a detention or a written warning.

2. Being with all girls

Attending a school with only girls can be a really positive thing. There are no distractions from boys in class, and everyone around you is really positive. Going to school with all girls was super easy because there was no judgement or pressure to fit a certain standard. Almost nobody wore makeup, nobody cared about what your hair looked like, and everyone was required to wear the same thing so nobody was judged you for what you wore to school that day. This community was a judge free zone for everyone, and every girl was able to feel both at home and challenged in this environment.

Religion

In order to graduate, each student was required to take 4 religion classes. This was a huge opportunity to learn about the world, the religions people practice, and why people think the way they do. Some people don't fully understand everything about a religion and people are very quick to judge others on something they don't know everything about. It is super beneficial to be educated on the five major world religions to fully understand the world we live in. Knowing this information can help promote peace, end discrimination, and make the world a much better place.

Making friends

Making friends was so easy to do at a high school like this. Each and every girl had each other's back no matter what happened and we all supported each other. You could reach out to any random girl in the hallway, without knowing their name, and they would always drop what they were doing to help you with whatever you needed. This school community allowed every student to make long lasting, and unforgettable friendships that will last a lifetime.

Going to an all-girls school was honestly a great decision for me. I was able to make lifelong friends and learn a lot about not only myself but the beliefs of others around me through different religions. I definitely recommend this type of school for anyone who is considering it because it is extremely beneficial in many aspects!

Dear High School Friend Group,

My sweet angels, where would I be without you guys. We all grew up together because we either met in middle school or high school and watched each other grow up and get "old." We got to go to prom together and then graduate together. Then watched each other as we continued our lives in college, joining sororities and meeting people who will impact our lives forever. It all has happened so fast.

Oh college, we can’t live with you, but we can’t live without you. It’s a love/hate relationship, really. College is an experience that no one can ever prepare you for, and maybe that’s a good thing. You never really expect any of the things that college encompasses until you are there. College is fun, but don’t have too much fun. C’s get degrees, but they don’t get you into graduate school.

Blair Waldorf

The "Gossip Girl" series may be over, but Blair Waldorf's iconic character lives in our hearts forever. Blair was the queen of the Upper East Side, and a character you either loved or hated. She taught us everything we needed to know about life, love and of course, how to score a Chuck Bass. So the next time you feel a bit lost and are in need of guidance, look no further than to the Queen B herself.

As I spend my Sunday avoiding my homework and other adult responsibilities, I realized that I've watched this series over and over about a million times. Sadly, there isn't a Blair quote I don't know, so I came up with a list of a few favorites. You know you love her...xoxo

Summer: a time (usually) free from school work and a time to relax with your friends and family. Maybe you go on a vacation or maybe you work all summer, but the time off really does help. When you're in college you become super close with so many people it's hard to think that you won't see many of them for three months. But, then you get that text saying, "Hey, clear your schedule next weekend, I'm coming up" and you begin to flip out. Here are the emotions you go through as your best friend makes her trip to your house.
