I Use To Hate The Office Now I'm Binge Watching It

The Office (U.S) Netflix

Ever since Friends has been removed from Netflix, I have been watching numerous of mini-series to keep me entertain. Sadly none of the shows have more than two seasons, so I typically finish the show within a week. Sometimes within two days since I had nothing better to do during quarantine. I typically ask my friends for Netflix recommendations and every time I always get the same answer "The Office". I never was interested in the show in the past. The jokes seemed dry along with the show having a boring plot. I know I should not judge a book by its cover. But I always judged The Office by the first two episodes. In all honesty I hated the first two episodes of the series. Yet after my friend played an episode from season three from the series, I was hooked. I watched almost five episodes at her house, and a Christmas special. While I was somewhat confused since I watched episodes from season three, I started over the show the moment I got home.

From the beginning I always assumed that Pam and Jim were dating. I was shocked when I discovered she was about to be married. Not only was I in shock but I was mad that the writers of The Office did not put Pam and Jim together. Because in all honestly they would be the cutest couple on the show. I am hoping later in the series Pam files for a divorce, but I refuse to google any spoilers.

Another thing I found out was Dwight is a very serious character, while Michael is not. The duo seems to work together best, while not getting any work done. Let us not forget that Michael seems to procrastinate very often, to the point his employees have to finish his work. Michael seems to be very immature in any situation ever, while Dwight tries to be serious in every situation ever. Of course the characters are the opposite of each other, they are some of the best characters on the show.

While I may have just started watching the series, and still do not know every characters name (except Dwight. Michael, Pam, and Jim). I am already stocking up on Office shirts and stickers to places all over my laptop.

11 Things Summer Nannies Can Relate To

There are plenty of obstacles that come when taking care of kids, but it's a very rewarding experience.

As a college student, being a nanny over the summer is both enjoyable and challenging. Underneath the seemingly perfect trips to the pool or countless hours spent playing Monopoly are the obstacles that only nannies will understand. Trading in your valuable summer vacation in return for three months spent with a few children less than half your age may seem unappealing, but so many moments make it rewarding. For my fellow summer nannies out there, I know you can relate.

There are a lot of really easy, common names in the U.S. and while many of those simple names have different spellings, most of the time, pronunciation is not an issue that those people need to worry about. However, others are not as fortunate and often times give up on corrections after a while. We usually give an A+ for effort. So, as you could probably imagine, there are a few struggles with having a name that isn’t technically English. Here are just a few…

It gets even better when they meet another fellow Puerto Rican or Latino in general.
