Albuquerque And Its Unique Skies

They take your breath away.

Albuquerque And Its Unique Skies

I'm not sure what it is, but there's something about these Albuquerque skies that really get to me. During the day, they are either bright blue, or there's beautiful clouds floating in the sky. The sunrise is beautiful; the sun's rays popping over the Sandia Mountains. But it's the sunsets that really drive people crazy.

The sunset, to me, is my favorite time of day. Every day, the sunset is different. The sun has this beautiful golden hue. Everything is touches seems to turn it gold. The skies are painted pink, purple, gold, and orange. And although the sky is beautiful, what the sun does to the mountains is amazing.

They call them the Sandia Mountains for a reason. As the sun sets, it makes the mountains appear pink, like a watermelon. Every day, I catch myself staring at those beautiful mountains and wait for them to turn pink. It's an amazing sight.

I understand why they call New Mexico The Land of Enchantment. Just witnessing what nature has around here takes my breath away. Perhaps they should call it "The Land of EnTRAPment." I could see why people would stay here.

Although I do love this place, I don't plan on staying here forever. My heart calls for farther lands, and a much more exciting journey ahead of me. Yet I can't help but appreciate the land I'm in at the moment.

Every day is different. Maybe God has his New Mexican Artists that die that day paint the skies. Maybe it's some scientific reason as to why the skies are much more beautiful and colorful than other places. Whatever the reason is, there's no doubt that these skies are breathtaking.

18 Things I Want To Do Now That I'm 18

I'm technically an adult, so I'm legally required to live a little, right?

For the entirety of my high school career, I was always seen as the goody-two-shoes. I never got in trouble with a teacher, I kept stellar grades, and when I wasn't doing extracurricular activities, I was at home studying. Even when I did go out, it was usually with a bunch of fellow band geeks. The night would end before 11:00 PM and the only controversial activity would be a fight based on who unfairly won a round of Apples-to-Apples when someone else clearly had a better card (I promise I'm not still holding a grudge).

Now that I'm officially an adult, I want to pursue some new things. I want to experience life in a way that I never allowed myself to do prior to entering college. These are the years that I'm supposed to embark on a journey of self-discovery, so what better way to do that than to create a bucket list?

I've been super busy lately with school work, studying, etc. Besides the fact that I do nothing but AP chemistry and AP economics, I constantly think of stupid questions that are almost impossible to answer. So, maybe you could answer them for me, and if not then we can both wonder what the answers to these 15 questions could be.
