To all my artistically experimental guys and girls out there, if you're at a roadblock in terms of creating new makeup looks, look to your music for inspiration. By that I mean your fave artists album covers! Here's a few of my faves to start you off.
Kyary Pamyu Pamyu - Mondai Girl
Many looks can be based off of one of Japans most innovative and creative performers, but this specific album gives you a palette of pure colors to play around with. From primaries on the lid, green on the water line and white liquid eyeliner something good is inevitable to come out of this concept.
Blur - Blur
This palette consisting mainly of warm tones is a dream for shading eyeshadows. Blur's debut album offers up a chance to incorporate brownish based red eyeliners to the makeup concept as well.
Electric Guest - Plural
Electric Guest's album offers three main colors at play here; Red, White and Yellow. Seeing how bold the album concept is, I myself would go with bold color statements as well. Possibly yellow on the lid, red as a transition color and white liquid eyeliner to top it off. Of course, this is interchangeable as well!
EXO-CBX - Blooming Days
Similar to Kyary Pamyu Pamyu's color palette, CBX incorporates orange too. Not only could you experiment with colors, but the shape of your makeup as well. The blocky concept is something you don't see everyday which makes this challenge all the more interesting.
F(x) - Pink Tape
This album cover offers a more softer color palette consisting of baby pink, hot pink, white and black. You can have fun with hot pink eyeliner and possibly doubling it with black or white eyeliner as well. Although, the album doesn't necessarily sparkle, who doesn't love white shimmery shadow in the inner corners to make it pop?
