I'm sure that you have all heard of the recent raging fires in the Smokey Mountains. I got the chance to see the aftermath for myself. My family went on a mini vacation to Gatlinburg, TN. We wanted to help give the locals some needed business and help in any other way that we could. The main strip was intact, and they seemed to have good business. We drove past some of the houses affected by the fire, and the aftermath was devastating. The concrete foundation was all that was left standing for most of the houses that we drove past.
Here are some of the pictures of what was left of the houses:
I apologize for the quality of the pictures. We were in a moving car when we took them.
Please continue to pray for the families that were affected by the devastating fires. They lost their homes, cars, and some even lost their loved ones. I can't imagine what it would be like to lose my home and everything inside of it. Those aren't just houses, they are the homes that people grew up in. They are places that hold many memories, and now they are gone.
