As many of you know, "The Bachelor" season finale premiered this past Monday. This season was honestly one of my favorites because Ben truly was so sweet and kind to all of the women, even the crazy ones. Being a fan of the show for so long, most of the time I get bored with all of the drama and nonsense, so I usually look up who the bachelor or bachelorette ends up with since there are tons of blogs about it on the internet. I wanted to do this for Ben's season especially because I just wanted to be sure that he did not end up with a crazy girl or no one at all. While watching the show, I was not surprised in the least, even from the first episode, that JoJo and Lauren B were the last two remaining. He had such amazing relationships with both of them, but I would have to agree with his choice because his relationship with Lauren was so real and they were perfect with each other.
The finale, as always, came with many surprises, especially in the last hour of the three-hour finale, "After The Final Rose," where Chris Harrison does his hosting job and gets the spotlight for the hour. The first surprise was after Ben and JoJo had finished their civil conversation about their relationship and moving on when they were going to announce who the next bachelorette would be. After the commercial break, JoJo was still on the stage, which was pretty strange since people were talking about how Caila, who was the third girl left, was going to be the bachelorette all over social media. Chris Harrison, however, announced that it was going to be JoJo. I was extremely happy since I liked JoJo a lot better than Caila.
The next surprise that Chris Harrison had for Ben and Lauren involved getting married on the television show. The show had even flown out Ben's pastor from Indiana and both of their families so that they could get married on the show. When Chris told Ben and Lauren what would be happening, I could just tell that Ben and Lauren felt so incredibly uncomfortable because Lauren had just gotten done talking about how they wanted to wait to get married. It was very awkward. However, in the end, both of their families came out onto the stage and it was like one big, happy family, which was very cute. It was nice to see all of them together.
The finale and "After the Final Rose" segment were filled with both fun and awkward surprises, but, overall, it was a great finale. Ben's proposal to Lauren was very cute and they are incredibly adorable. I cannot wait to watch JoJo's season of "The Bachelorette" and see who she falls in love with after falling in love with Ben.
