Just like any young woman, I love scrolling through my Instagram feed and pinning posts onto my Pinterest boards. I admire women like the Jenner sisters, Rihanna, and Zendaya, to name a few, because of their incredible fashion sense. Rocking looks, from basic to glam, that no one else would dare to try. However, ever since I was a pre-teen, I have struggled with my weight and when you're trying to also have a good fashion sense, being a plus size fashion enthusiast can be hard. So, I decided to help out my fellow curvy ladies by creating a list of websites that have been so helpful in achieving Instagram worthy outfits.
1. Forever21 Plus

Forever21 is the first choice I always go to because they are consistently up to trend. You can tell the company is watching what the hottest celebrities are wearing because you can pretty much always find a good dupe on their website. Plus, all the clothes are really affordable and good quality. I have owned clothes from Forever21 for years and they are still holding up. No matter what your style is, you are sure to find something at Forever21 that fits your distinct aesthetic.
2. ASOS Curve

ASOS is a pretty popular brand with most influencers and it is amazing that they offer a great selection for plus size women too. Most places have a small range of clothes in sizes larger than a large, but ASOS is different. Like Forever21, they are consistently sporting new, trendy pieces but they even have a unique array of fashion that is not always trendy... but could be soon. They seem to be one step ahead of the media, so this is a good place to shop if you want a unique style or want to spice up your outfit with interesting accessories.
3. ModCloth

ModCloth is my go-to when shopping for swimwear because I love the high wasted bottom trend. A lot of my weight is in my lower stomach and thighs, so the retro style swimsuits really compliment my body type. ModCloth is a 50's inspired website that includes things from long skirts, Oxford shoes, and a crazy array of prints. My senior homecoming I had a Candyland themed dance and I ended up purchasing a midi dress with doughnut print from ModCloth. The material is very sturdy, yet comfortable. Plus my favorite pair of platforms are from ModCloth! If you are interested in a vintage style, I would definitely check out ModCloth, plus they are constantly having sales and adding new pieces to their website.
4. Torrid

Torrid is a common store because it is very accessible due to the availability in most malls or shopping centers. I do think that Torrid is for a more mature shopper, but their intimate section has a great variety of affordable underwear and bras. Plus, their clearance section is huge! I go in and shop the clearance section for hidden treasures that are at a really good price. But, if you choose to shop the regular store, I love their rewards system since most clothes can range from $20-$60, you will always get a lot of points back, which can get you money off later!
5. Charlotte Russe

I wasn't sure if I was going to include this store in this article but I love their jeans so I had to! Like Torrid, Charlotte Russe is in most malls or shopping centers but their plus size section is lacking. It's literally a small corner in the store that has mostly basics, which is really disappointing. However, they are the only store I will buy my denim at. Like most curvy women, my thighs rub together when I walk, which eventually leads to the horrific rip on the inside of your thigh. I hate that moment but these jeans can last up to a year, or more, before becoming worn and ripping. I would highly recommend their denim section for all your jean needs, whether that be light wash, black, ripped, or even boyfriend style, Charlotte Russe has it all.
6. Target

If you haven't checked out Target's clothing section, you have to get on it! I love, love, love Target. I love their home decor but their fashion displays kill me. I buy like 75% of my clothes from Target because their clothes are comfortable and honestly, pretty unique. I get so many compliments whenever I wear clothes from here and I never see anyone else wearing the same outfit as me. However, my favorite thing to purchase is their jumpsuits because I am a pretty short gal (I'm 5'4) and jumpsuits are always too long in the leg area. However, Target has a large assortment of cropped jumpsuits which is perfect for me. Plus, they have a lot of room in the thigh area and most are able to cinch the waist, which is so helpful in making a jumpsuit flatter your body more.
7. Boohoo

Boohoo is one of my more recent discoveries, but it is like every outfit is straight out of Instagram. They have such a trendy websitetheseand everything is constantly on sale. Most outfits can be around $40 but usually end up being around $15-$20 after their deals. My biggest compliment is that the website is easy to navigate with the panels for sizing and brands so easily accessible. It is so disappointing to find a piece, but later find out that it isn't available in your size. Boohoo makes it so convenient to find your correct size and to immediately go to the Plus section. Styles range from more nighttime looks to very Cher from Clueless, which I love!
8. Fashion Nova
https://www.instagram.com/p/BlzNAFFBd7O/?taken-by=fashionnovacurve
Now, Fashion Nova has become HUGE on Instagram and most celebrities even promote their product. From Cardi B to Kylie Jenner, Fashion Nova is the definition of an Instagram baddie's wardrobe. I love their website because I am able to wear the same thing as my favorite celeb, which makes Instagram photoshoots so much fun. Plus, their bottoms don't do that thing where you have a gap around your waist, but it fits your butt perfectly. Fashion Nova knows that most women, myself included, have larger thighs or butts, but a smaller waist so they account for that which is SO amazing because you do not have to be trying to pull your bottoms up 24/7.
9. Pretty Little Thing
https://www.instagram.com/khelia_/
Pretty Little Thing is another website that so many petite influencers talked about but I thought they never had anything in my size. Well, I was wrong. PLT has a Plus section and it's so cute. I would say if you love florals or have a girlier style, this store is for you! Their store is full of bright, trendy pieces that flatter thick thighs and curvy bodies so much. Also, they are available in seven different countries, such as England, Ireland, France, Australia, and of course the United States, to name a few! So, I would definitely tell the girly girls in my life to check out this brand.
So, for all of you thick thighed, big chested, curvy women, please know that just because you have a larger clothing size does not mean you have to pay a larger amount. Also, don't think that you can't rock a cute outfit because your size isn't in their range. In today's fashion world, more and more companies are constantly putting out more availability for plus sized women and making it more attainable.
I know that for me, personally, I have become discouraged when shopping with smaller friends because nothing seems to fit. It makes shopping and fashion, overall, a terrible experience, but I promise that you can have an amazing style, just like girls who are a small or medium size. It just takes some research and confidence to achieve it. Honestly, the biggest compliment I get is regarding my fashion sense! So, check out these brands and I hope to see more curvy women rocking trendy outfits on my Instagram feed!
