As the weather gets cooler, the ideas for outdoor dates broadens. Having the range of the great out doors as a dating blueprint, the worry for how much will be spent on a date is lessened. Whether you're looking to seal the deal or asking for a first date, I'll give you some fun cheap date ideas with some around Provo that you and your date can both enjoy!

1. Visit a local orchard and pick apples

Visit Allred Orchard in Provo located at 2109 North University Avenue, Provo, UT. This fall, Allred Orchards has a variety of apples that you can pick. Right now Empire apples are ready for picking and Red Delicious apples can be picked on Oct. 10th. This great date and it gives you and your date time to get to know each other while picking a healthy snack to eat along the way!

2. Go on a hike

With the beautiful falls and nature trails all around the Provo area, a hike is a great idea to take your date on! This site breaks down all the hikes in the Provo area into easy, moderate, and strenuous hikes so you can pick the one that would be most comfortable for you and your date!

3. Fright by Night at Insanity Point

Located in Thanksgiving Point, the tickets cost $22.95 for Monday, Friday and Saturday that covers the eight attractions available to you. if you are more into the thrill and scare of Halloween then this might be the date for you to plan. Though its a bit pricier for that one night of fright, it might be worth it.

4. Check out Hee Haw Farms for Hay rides, pumpkin patch and corn maze

Located at 700 South and 4500 West in Pleasant Grove, Utah. Opened Monday - Thursday 5:00 p.m. - 9:30 p.m., Friday 5:00 p.m.-11:00 p.m. and Saturday 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 p.m. The corn maze costs $7 for adults and a Haunted hayride is put on, but only runs through October. For a souvenir, take home a pumpkin to carve and decorate with your date!

5. Make some Halloween treats and gift them to some friends!

Carmel apples and sugar cookies are a must for every Halloween season, so what better way to it with someone you want to get to know?

6. If you're wanting a warm night in, try this chili recipe and make it with your date, invite some friends and cozy up together with a movie!

7. Pack a picnic for you and your date and make some s'mores!

Enjoy the afternoon at the park with a nice picnic dinner and for dessert roasted s'mores around a toasty campfire

8. Attend the Halloween Carnival at the Provo Rec Center.

$5 for adults, take a gander through the Zombie graveyard, the Haunted Asylum, or the Clown Hallway. If you're up to it, get costumes for you and your date to make the night more fun!

9. Check out the Provo Round up!

Located at 560S 100W Provo, Utah, all the local Food Trucks gather every Thursday from 6:00-10:00 p.m. where you and your date can enjoy a treat from each truck!

10. With BYU football season in full swing plan a tailgating party with your date and some friends while you enjoy the game in the beautiful fall weather!
