I am a senior in high school right now, and I understand all the struggles of those years. I wish some people would have told me these things before, but I'm going to share them with you now. Please read these carefully and try to remember these are not "the best moments of your life."
Freshman Year:
1. It isn't as bad as TV shows make it out to be.
2. Do NOT try and be friends with everyone.
3. Everyone hates the freshman, so don't act like you're better than everyone because you're not.
4. Walk on the right side of the hallways, don't stop and talk to people (you'll see them at lunch), AND stop screaming to your friends.
Sophomore Year:
1. This year will be full of friend drama.
2. Learn to drive!
3. The only thing you will learn is that the mitochondria are the powerhouse of the cell.
4. Yes, freshmen are annoying, but you were probably just like them.
Junior Year:
1. No one likes the SATs, and most likely, you don't need to take them.
2. Chemistry is hard and will consume your life.
3. Senior year is around the corner so start planning for college now. It's not too early!
4. It's okay if you don't know what you want to be or do. Hang in there.
5. Junioritis is real.
6. You find your group of friends.
7. Don't worry this is the hardest year yet.
Senior Year:
1. Time to fill out those college applications = college acceptance letters! The future is out there waiting.
2. You might think, "Why am I still here?" just know you are almost done, and you will persevere!
3. You graduate soon, and it's just around the corner. Isn't that a little scary?!
4. You will get Senioritis. It's real, guys.
5. Everything you do is your last. Make it memorable!
6. And finally... GRADUATION!!!!
