Being a college freshman, you realize how much you miss your second semester in high school. Those were the days of the lasts and new beginnings. These last few months will fly by and in a blink you'll be moving into your future home for the next four years with people you've never met. Everything will change and it's usually for the better. Here's some advice to live by for the next few (feels like forever) months:

1: Cherish the days you can actually wake up at 6:30 and function. When you get to college you're lucky if you get up before noon.

2: Go to prom and homecoming. You'll miss the days you get to dress up and take pictures.

4: Take the extra credit and homework for granted. In a couple of months, you'll be lucky if you get more than two exams.

5: Walk down the halls with your best friends. You'll miss the five minute speed talk about your day so far or the plans y'all are making for the night.

6: Likewise, tell the guy you've always had a crush on that you do. You'll never see these people again and either it will blossom into something or die off and never matter again.

7: Always go to class. You'll wish you did when you get to college and have to debate getting up and going.

8: Fix and mend any broken relationships or lost friendships. It's better to leave with no hard feelings than to always wonder what could have been.

9: Dress up for school. You won't wear anything but nike shorts and t-shirts in a few months.

10: Take every teachers' advice about the work you got back or the effort you are putting in. It could help you in the future.

11: Remember to turn in the assignments on time

12: Learn to like coffee because it will save your life soon.

13: Don't worry about the people who don't like you. They won't be a thought in your life again.

14. Don't be afraid to do something you've always wanted to do in high school. When you get to college it won't be as much fun.

15: Cherish every "last" moment and remember the times when you felt like you were indestructible

16: Learn to budget your money because you realize quickly that eating fast food everyday isn't practical and that you really don't NEED that shirt you've wanted.

17: Go on trips and have days with your friends. Try to take pictures at every event. You'll look back on them one day.

18: It doesn't matter what your friend group is now or that you weren't in one in high school. You'll soon be a small fish in a big sea with fish you never knew existed.

19: Don't stay out every night. You'll miss the nights at home and the advice your momma gave you.

20: Lastly, don't forget who you have become or who you want to be. That will soon be challenged.

Take every moment and remember it. The laughs, the cries, and the memories.

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!
