A Mother Knows Her Children Best.

Advice Only Your Mother Can Give.

No matter how old or young, if you're a daughter or a son, there are certain things only your mom can advise you in. Even if it is not what you want to hear, you know it is coming out of the heart. And for some unexplained reason, in the end she is always right. There is just something about a mothers intuition that is unexplainable. You can tell yourself that you are way better off on your own and you need no help, but let's be honest - sometimes mom knows best.

When you're deciding the next four

years of your life after you graduate high school, it is the most important and

anxiety ridden decision of your life. When you need a little push in the right

direction, your mother will without a doubt tell you "wherever makes you

happy," or something to that extent. A mother can read every expression

and feeling you have - that might have something to do with carrying you in the womb for nine

months. She may have an opinion of what might be right for you, but with

unconditional love, she will set you free wherever you wish to go.

She is the number one go to for

relationship advice. This applies for both genders. Men all need that one

moment in a woman's head so they can better understand their partner. Women

need that constant reassurance, or maybe the harsh truth to whatever relationship

troubles they are facing. Moms will tell you that "every guy is the

same." They know exactly what to say-when to say it. More often than not, your mother probably went through the same, if not similar, issues you are

going through now. For all you women out there, she is the one shoulder you

can always cry on. As for the men, they will tell you everything that your

father may have done wrong, or excelled at, so you either follow in his

footsteps or don't make the same mistakes. They will give you every tip and

advice in hopes that you won't become "like every other guy."

Mothers teach us the little things in

life because they soon become the most important. No longer

are you dependent on her for everything, hence why she is trying to teach you

to save and spend your money wisely. If it's worth the money, it is worth the

work. Money won't always make you happier, but it can relieve a lot of

unnecessary stress in life. Mothers taught their children to always wear clean

underwear and always use soap in the shower. This may seem like nothing, but

good hygiene can go a long way. These simple life lessons are something that

will carry through in our lives. If you look good, you feel good, and you do

good.

When the weight of the world is on your

shoulders, and the light of day is lost, our mothers are there to show us the

light. They will soon ease the weight off our shoulders. There will be a time

in life that nothing our friends say will matter, but the words of mother seem

to resonate more than anything. They want nothing more than their children to

be happy, and they will remind you of your worth. They will remind you that you

are worth more than the universe to her. They will remind you of where you have

come from, and where you still have to go. Mothers will always tell you to

stay true to yourself, and remember the values she has instilled in you.

On the other hand, don’t even try to lie

to your mother. Well, you can try, but a mother knows a liar when she sees one.

You can tell her you are fine, but it won’t do you any good. Even though the

end result to a lie may lead in disappointment, that doesn’t mean she will ever stop

loving you. There is an unconditional love in mothers no matter what. She will

be there through the good, the bad, and the ugly. We are not perfect, and

sometimes we may let our mothers down in some of the choices made, but she will

merely give us advice on how to handle the situation better next time. A mother

shares her experiences in life in hopes that you will learn from them, and

won’t make the same mistake twice. A mother wants to open an a door of endless

opportunities she didn’t have, in which her children have access to, where they

can exceed in whatever it may be.

There are just certain aspects of

life that mothers understand the best. All a mother wants is to listen and

share advice to their children. Friends may come and go, and relationship may

fall or crumble, but a mother will always be by your side if you like it or

not. Friends may tell you what you want to hear, but your mother will always

tell you what you need to hear. They tell you the honest truth. Their love for their children is unconditional. They are always there to listen to you complain, laugh, or cry. Mothers want nothing but the best for their children, and will always go over and beyond to give you everything you desire. It's not their job or duty to tell their children they are beautiful, handsome, great, or one of a kind - they are you telling you the truth. There are certain aspects of life that only a mother can help advise you to capture, and they will always remind you to love yourself before loving anyone else.

Don't forget, a mothers advice and life lessons are coming straight from the heart and soul.

No Matter How Challenging School Gets, You Have To Put Your Health First — A Degree Won't Mean Anything If You're Dead

Some of the best advice I've ever received was from my social studies teacher in sophomore year of high school. He stated, "If you don't know it at midnight, you're not going to know it for the 8 a.m. exam, so get some sleep."

It's such a simple piece of advice, but it holds so much accuracy and it's something that the majority of college students need to hear and listen to. "All-nighters" are a commonality on college campuses in order to cram in studying for an exam that is typically the next day.

girl with a hat

This is for the girls who have dealt with an emotionally, mentally, physically or verbally abusive father.

The ones who have grown up with a false lens of what love is and how relationships should be. The ones who have cried themselves to sleep wondering why he hurts you and your family so much. This is for all the girls who fall in love with broken boys that carry baggage bigger than their own, thinking it's their job to heal them because you watched your mother do the same.

Blair Waldorf Quote
"DESTINY IS FOR LOSERS. IT'S JUST A STUPID EXCUSE TO WAIT FOR THINGS TO HAPPEN INSTEAD OF MAKING THEM HAPPEN." - BLAIR WALDORF.

The world stopped in 2012 when our beloved show "Gossip Girl" ended. For six straight years, we would all tune in every Monday at 9:00 p.m. to see Upper Eastside royalty in the form of a Burberry headband clad Blair Waldorf. Blair was the big sister that we all loved to hate. How could we ever forget the epic showdowns between her and her frenemy Serena Van Der Woodsen? Or the time she banished Georgina Sparks to a Christian summer camp? How about that time when she and her girls took down Bart Bass? Blair is life. She's taught us how to dress, how to be ambitious, and most importantly, how to throw the perfect shade.

too tired to care

We've all been there. From move-in day to the first finals week in college, your first term is an adventure from start to finish. In honor of college decisions coming out recently, I want to recap some of the most common experiences college freshmen experience.

1. The awkward hellos on move-in day.

You're moving your stuff onto your floor, and you will encounter people you don't know yet in the hallway. They live on your floor, so you'll awkwardly smile and maybe introduce yourself. As you walk away, you will wonder if they will ever speak to you again, but don't worry, there's a good chance that you will make some great friends on your floor!
