Advice On How To Get A Guy To Like You: Tips From Guys

Decided to go to the library tonight and get some studying done for finals. If you know me, you'll know how I can go to a library for hours and get literally not a single thing done. Cool thing about having guy friends is that the can help you understand how the male mind works. While avoiding homework I asked my guy friends to give me tips on how to get a guy to like you, and here's what they came up with:

*Disclaimer: Use these tips at your own risk*

1. "Give him something nice. Like a treat." For example: bake him cookies, make him desserts, or cheesecake.

2. "Laugh at his jokes, but not too hard. Smile a lot when you're with him. All you got to do is keep smiling"

3."Show him you're a woman. You don't want to be promiscuous girl to him. Neither do want to be just the friend. You want to be the woman. Be the woman who he wants but can't have. Even if I like a girl, I want to feel like she's a little hard to get. And if I know I can have a girl then I don't want her. Play hard to get."

4. "Play games, but for not too long." Guys lose interest when you play too many games.

Side Note: "Guys aren't as clueless as you think. They analyze situations to make sure girls aren't playing games with them. Because once upon a time a girl hurt them."

5. "Ask him to study. It's finals week, this is the perfect time. Ask him to hang out so he can get to know you for who you are."

6. Dress nice, and smell good.

7."Have fun with it, if you're rejected there's many fish in the sea."

8."She has to make me laugh. Have my sense of humor."

9."Be real. Be yourself. Don't try to be someone you're not. Show him the real you, but in moderation. Show him small pieces of your personality at a time, so he has time to get used to them."

The Great Christmas Movie Debate

"A Christmas Story" is the star on top of the tree.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate

One staple of the Christmas season is sitting around the television watching a Christmas movie with family and friends. But of the seemingly hundreds of movies, which one is the star on the tree? Some share stories of Santa to children ("Santa Claus Is Coming to Town"), others want to spread the Christmas joy to adults ("It's a Wonderful Life"), and a select few are made to get laughs ("Elf"). All good movies, but merely ornaments on the Christmas tree of the best movies. What tops the tree is a movie that bridges the gap between these three movies, and makes it a great watch for anyone who chooses to watch it. Enter the timeless Christmas classic, "A Christmas Story." Created in 1983, this movie holds the tradition of capturing both young and old eyes for 24 straight hours on its Christmas Day marathon. It gets the most coverage out of all holiday movies, but the sheer amount of times it's on television does not make it the greatest. Why is it,
then? A Christmas Story does not try to tell the tale of a Christmas miracle or use Christmas magic to move the story. What it does do though is tell the real story of Christmas. It is relatable and brings out the unmatched excitement of children on Christmas in everyone who watches. Every one becomes a child again when they watch "A Christmas Story."

It’s here; that time of year when college students turn into preschoolers again. We cry for our mothers, eat everything in sight, and whine when we don’t get our way. It’s finals, the dreaded time of the semester when we all realize we should have been paying attention in class instead of literally doing anything else but that.
