Here's the backstory:
I regularly attend a speed and conditioning coach. She trains all ages, so I interact with some kids that are half my age. All of the high schoolers, including myself, comment every week on how the younger, elementary-aged kids have so much energy. Between the drills we are all supposed to keep jogging--most older kids drag during this, but the younger kids always have a spring in their step. Today, half seriously and half as a joke, I asked one of these younger kids, "How do you have so much energy all the time?"
The boy, a slightly chubby 10-year-old, looked at me and then put his hand on his chin.
"Hm, let me think. So, I think about all my stress, and then I just run it out." He gave me a serious nod to confirm his answer.
Young kids are so pure, am I right??
But really, what a great reminder. Without being too wordy, I just want to bring a little encouragement to whoever reads this--find some way to get rid of whatever is stressing you out, whether that be by running, reading, talking to someone, or anything that is beneficial to you, and go do that with a purpose. Let that stressful class, that frustrating person, or that hard circumstance propel you to work harder and become better.
And hey, if a 10-year-old can do it, then so can you.
