I remember holding you for the first time, I remember mom and dad coming home with you, and I remember how much of a pain you were. You are still a pain. But I would not trade you for anything in the entire world, because you are my little pain. I have watched you go from a small annoying toddler to the young man that you are today. Although there have been some rough patches along the way, you have made me the proudest big sister ever.

Within the next couple of years, you are going to graduate from high school and move off to college, you are going to become a real adult. But I want you to know that I will always be there for you, and I am only a phone call away. I know I joke with you about not liking you, but if you really need me, I will drop everything and come to your side.

As your big sister, I feel the need to always be there to protect you.

I am writing this so that you can know that I do love you. I probably love you more than anything or anyone else. You annoy me non-stop but I would have it no other way. Let's be honest, with both annoy each other because that is how we show we care. Why else do you think that when I come home, you are one of the first people I want to see? Just don't tell mom and dad.

As you grow into more of an adult, there are a couple things that I want to tell you. So since this is coming from your big sister, I hope you take what I tell you serious.

1. Never change who you are for anyone.

You are amazing and funny, so don't let anyone tell you that you need to change. Just stay you.

2. Have fun.

Be adventurous, take risks. Some of my greatest memories are those that are not planned and that come from spontaneous trips.

3. Surround yourself with good people.

As you grow up, you will figure out quickly what friends are going to be there for you in the long run. So make sure that you surround yourself with those who are going to build you up and not tear you down.

I know you hear all three of these things from me constantly but I thought that if I wrote them down then you will always remember them. If you don't remember everything I say then at least remember that more than anything I love you. And I am always going to be there for you. I can't wait to be home with you for an entire summer and I hope you are ready to make some more memories together. Love you, little buddy!

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!
