Night Nation Run

New York City is always offering tons of fun and different activities. From food festivals to movie nights in the park, there is always something relaxing to do in the summer. This year, why not try something a little more adventurous? Races, obstacle courses, and beer -- need I say more? These events will have you feeling like a kid on field day again. Gather your friends and sign up to have your most memorable year yet.

Adventure Park

Have you ever wanted to go zip lining on a tropical island? Well, Long Island isn't so tropical, but it does have a huge climbing and zip lining park with 10 different trails. For $54, you can climb and zip through the park for three hours.

Fly High

Fly High is New York's first indoor trampoline park located in Staten Island. Flip into a foam pit, slam dunk on a trampoline basketball court, play ultimate dodgeball, or jump as high as you can on the bungee slingshot! Fly High hosts college nights every Thursday, which is a great way to avoid jumping on a little kid. Tickets start at $13 for 30 minutes.

Night Nation Run

The Night Nation Run is the world's first running music festival. Run, walk, or dance through a 5K filled with DJs and parties! If you don't want to run, you can volunteer and still enjoy the party! Don't miss out on this event and its epic after party! This event supports Stand Up To Cancer, which is a cancer research charity. This year, Night Nation Run will take place at night in Brooklyn, NY on Friday, June 3. Tickets start at $29 and include a t-shirt, goodies, giveaways and admission to the after party.

Blacklight Run

Unfortunately, there is no Color Run scheduled for this year. However, the Blacklight Run will definitely make up for this! Think of this as a mix between the Color Run and Night Nation Run. Runners and walkers wear white or bright colors and are sprayed with neon paint as they run the 5K. It's basically one big glow-in-the-dark party! And of course, there is an amazing after party! The Blacklight Run will be Saturday, July 23, in Brooklyn starting at $20 a person. Tickets includes a t-shirt, a donation to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, a glow pack and admission to the after party.

ROC Race

The ROC Race is probably the most fun thing you will do all year. It is a 5K obstacle course (just like the TV show Wipeout), that includes wrecking balls, foam of fury, the hippo, and the sweeper. This huge event will be held on Saturday, September 10 in Brooklyn. It's the perfect way to end your summer break before jumping back into the school year. Right now, ticket prices are $61, but prices go up through the summer, so buy your tickets ASAP! You will get a T-shirt, medal and post-race fun (including beer) with your ticket purchase.

National Beer Mile

Do you love beer, but hate running? Well, this will definitely motive you to run and be active! At the National Beer Mile, you can run or walk a mile while drinking beer, then you head over to the after party filled with great music, games, and more beer. It is on Saturday, Oct.1 in Brooklyn. Tickets start at $35, which includes four beers during the race and and an open bar after party.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
