The end of October and beginning of November begins the best season in Florida in my opinion. The Summer heat is finally coming to an end, and it is comfortable to be outside and enjoying outdoor activities again. The Summer heat can kind of put you in a slump, so if you are looking for some amazing things to do outside in the next few months in Florida, check out some of these.
Tree Hoppers
Although a bit on the pricey side, this vertical adventure is well-worth your money. 3 hours of hopping around trees on a cable wire will leave you craving more. The well-designed obstacle course has 4 tiers of difficulty. The black diamond course is no joke, be prepared to be sore afterwards if you attempt it.
The courses are fun and challenging. The staff are friendly and very good at explaining what to do when you are up in the trees. They have several obstacles that are zip lines, along with others that involve some climbing and trick maneuvering. I strongly advise going with a partner to assist you through the obstacles if you are a first-timer.
Tree Hoppers is located in Dade City, about 45 minutes north of Tampa. This is a trip that you don’t want to miss, make sure you check it out before the heat returns.
St. Petersburg Saturday Morning Market
Every Satruday morning from 7:00a.m. to 2:00p.m., St Petersburg offers a large farmer's market full of diverse and interesting vendors for you to explore. The food is delicious, and the atmosphere is delightful to start a Saturday morning with. This market takes place year round, but from October through March is the best time to go.
The heat is not too bad to stroll around for an hour or two and explore the many vendors that this market has to offer.
The market is directly next to the Rowdey’s Soccer Stadium and offers a beautiful view over the water and live music from local artists. I highly encourage you to take a stroll through the market the next Saturday morning that you have a chance.
Epcot Food and Wine Festival
Disney offers a variety of attractions and entertainment events year round, but nothing quite like the Food and Wine Festival which runs from September to the first week of November. The food and wine festival is unique as it offers an opportunity for adults to explore the park in a magical way. Dozens of vendors from around the world set up in Epcot’s World Showcase and offer food and beverages from different countries around the World.
You will enjoy making your way around the showcase drinking and sampling food from all of the different countries. It is a great place to go in groups. The atmosphere is uncomparable, and it is worth the price of admission. If you have never been to this event, I highly advise going at least once to see it.
Don’t forget to get your Disney Souvenir Passport and have it stamped at every country that you visit!
