We all have excuses for not sleeping enough. We all have pulled at least one all-nighter. Yet, we all know how bad it is for our bodies and memory to not get a full 8 or more hours of sleep. The occasional all nighter is very common for college students, but if you can avoid it make sure you do just that. These are some of the great things getting enough sleep will offer you and your quality of life!

1. Improves Memory

Everyone needs a good night's sleep to help keep all of that information over long term memories. Sleeping solidifies memories thus strengthening the connections between the cells in the brain.

2. Creativity Increases

When you sleep your brain reorganizes and restructures to help with creativity. Another thing that might help the creative parts is that emotional components of memory strengthen during sleep.

3. Stress Lowers

As stated in the American Psychological Association's website, "many report that their stress increases when the length and quality of their sleep decreases." Sleep helps your body and mind feel distressed.

4. Improves Grades

Improving your memory and creativity already improves your grades. You're more inclined to have lower grades when you don't sleep as much because you get sleepy in class and you aren't as focused.

5. Less-likely to Develop Depression

A good night's sleep can help someone regulate their feelings because sleep helps you become more emotionally stable. One of the hardest things to remember is that sleep cannot be made up.

I'm serious

People are slowly becoming accustomed to the dual use of these names, but for the most part, in their minds they associate certain names with certain sexes. And that leaves those of us with these names in many awkward situations.

I'm an anthropology major, and I love every minute of it. I couldn't tell you why, but I guess there's just something about studying different lifestyles that absolutely fascinates me. But anthropology majors definitely have our weird sides, especially when you go to a school that is filled with mostly Business and Bio majors. But us weirdos definitely have a lot in common, specifically these 16 things.

pale girl

Everyone has insecurities, that's just a fact. You didn't ask to be born this way. You didn't ask to inherit the one trait no one else in your family has. And you definitely didn't ask to be this ghostly white. But as soon as you've learned to live with it for a while (less wrinkles later on in life, right? right???) someone has to ruin it for you. They have to flaunt they're perfectly tanned body from Spring Break and hold their sun-kissed skin against yours. But I've had enough... here are the things that perpetually pale individuals are tired of hearing.
