The Adult Diaper Bag

My friends like me for my purse

Most girls can relate, and maybe even some guys, but we all know that our purse essentially carries everything we need at any given time. And even sometimes we try to downsize and we somehow have the power to fit everything we want in it still. If I were to dump out my purse right now these are some things that would be in it:

My wallet and checkbook:

Okay, that’s what a purse was essentially made for but somehow my wallet has more things in it then it probably was made for. Pointless reward cards that I used once when the cashier asked me to get one and I didn’t feel like hearing their promotion so I just said yes.

Markers and pens:

When I would ever need a red marker in public, I don’t know, but if you need one I have it! & I also found the 15 pens I was missing.

Wine stoppers:

I have no idea why I have wine stoppers in my purse, but I guess at one point I thought they were essential to have with me at all times. But let's be honest who goes to a friends house and doesn’t finish the entire bottle of wine?

A pharmacy:

I took out 6 bottles of pills of my purse. You could call me the pharmacist of OTC medications, and if you ever have a headache or paper cut, I guess I’m your girl.

Hand sanitizer:

You just never know these days when you're going to need a squirt, or the whole bottle.

Open lotion container:

I don’t know how I never realize these things sooner, but I almost always find an open lotion container in my person and the mess that goes with it.

Gum and chapstick:

It seems like I always need these things, but when I need them my purse is never nearby. But it’s nice to know their there.

Nail clippers:

Nail clippers are essential for the nasty hangnail and for when you can’t wait to get home to take all the tags off your new purchases.

Phone charger:

Never leave the house without a phone charger.

$7.83 in change:

I clean out my purse and suddenly I have enough money for a trip to taco bell.

Shampoo and Conditioner:

You paid for it at the hotel, might as well stuff in your purse, forget about it, and never use it.

Snacks:

I don’t ever want to be in a situation where I’m hangry, this is really for the people around me. I have their best interest in mind.

Spare key:

I don’t know why it’s in my purse because personally, I think that if I lock my keys in my car my purse would probably be with it. But I haven’t had the problem yet, and I don’t plan on finding a better place for it.

I’d say that my purse is about medium sized, with a lot of pockets. I would also consider my purse to by Farley empty compared to what I’ve had it. You never want a purse too big or too empty because then people think it’s an open invitation to shove their things in there when you are walking around. My shoulders are probably stronger than an Olympic swimmer's, thanks to the weight my purse can endure. My friends never fail to tell me how much of a 'mom' I am, when I pull out anything they need out of my purse. But really, what they do without me and my adult diaper bag?

10 Truths About Being In A Sorority

I remember my freshman year oh so well. I remember feeling terrified the night before orientation. The one thing that I dreaded the most was not the new people, the new environment, or even the academic pressure. I was dreading having to talk to sorority girls about Recruitment. I remember cutting off and avoiding any Rho Gamma/Panhellenic Officer that came my way during First Week. I looked at them like they had asked me to cut my arm off whenever they asked me if I wanted to rush. To be honest, I did not even know what rush was, but I knew that I did NOT want to be a part of it. To me, it was dumb. It was a waste of money. It was a waste of my time.

And guess what? I did not rush my freshman year. I spent the first half of my freshman year isolating myself from everyone on campus. I spent all of my time in the library, and then (since I was a commuter) went back home once my work was finished.

Tiana would no doubt be disappointed in the food our cafeteria has to offer.

And hopefully she would cook for everyone in her dorm.

She definitley would not take any 8:00 am classes because she would be up late baking and cleaning up the communal kitchen that are available in every dorm.
