Georgia Southern is playing in their first bowl ever when they play in the GoDaddy Bowl in Mobile, Alabama on December 23rd. It will be an exciting game, and history will be made. Tour of USS Alabama
This is the 2015 Alabama attraction of the year. It is located in Mobile Bay, and it is just off exit 27 and 30 on Interstate 10. The park is open 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. during the months of October through March. It is also open 364 days a year, with the only day it is not open being Christmas day. It is $15 for adults (12 and up), $6 for children (6-11), and free for children 5 and under. Mobile Carnival Museum
The Mobile Carnival Museum highlights the history of Mardi Gras. Mardi Gras actually started in Mobile, and this museum tells the complete story of it. It is open Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday from 9:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. It is $5 for adults (13 and over) and $2 for children (12 and under). The museum features 14 galleries and 5 video presentations. It is located in the downtown area of Mobile.
History Museum of Mobile
This museum highlights all of the history related to Mobile. They also currently have a King Tut exhibit that is said to be at no additional cost. The museum is open 9:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. Monday through Saturday and 1:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. on Sunday. It is $10 for adults (18 and over), $7.50 for children 13-17, $5 for children 6-12, and free for children 5 and under. It is close to the Mobile Carnival Museum downtown, as well.
