Fall is the best season of them all, in my humble opinion. I would love to witness someone try to say one negative thing about fall. The transition from the heat and humidity of summer to the brisk coolness of autumn is enough to make me happy. The gorgeous color change of trees is aesthetically pleasing. There are so many great things about fall, and I didn't even mention pumpkins. But, sadly, the Virginia heat is here until further notice. While we wait for the return of fall, let's prep ourselves for the joyous occasion by getting into the fall spirit!

1. Listen to last year's fall playlist.

Music is something that can be so nostalgic. If you're like me, you usually divide your music by the seasons. When I shuffle my "FALL 2017 *insert leaf emoji*" playlist and hear one of those songs, I instantly remember how much I loved it. For me, these songs are now associated with fall and the warm feelings it brings. Listening to last year's playlist is sure to get you in the fall mood!

2. Add some fall colors to your beauty routine.

I couldn't help myself. I was practically dreaming of painting my nails this gorgeous deep orange shade. Start implementing small doses of those plums, burgundies, and mossy greens into your beauty routine. Whether it be nails, lips, or eyes, you're sure to get into the fall spirit (and maybe even inspire those around you to do the same)!

3. Turn down the temperature in your apartment so you can get cozy with blankets.

Turning down the temperature of your living space will literally make you feel like it's fall! I can sometimes be a bit of a blanket fanatic and feel like I need one in my room all year long (just in case). Laying in your bed surrounded by pillows and blankets while watching your favorite rom-com is one of the best feelings.

4. Order some fall-appropriate clothing.

All of our favorite stores are already advertising their new fall arrivals, and it's so tempting to scroll through and buy a few pieces. My favorite things to wear in the fall are cardigans and boots. I think it's more than okay to reward yourself for making it through the summer heat by buying something cute for the fall season!

5. Just order the PSL.

I know that everyone is telling you it's too early for coffee shops to start brewing pumpkin spice lattes. Don't listen to the fall haters. Surround yourself with friends who will encourage you to enjoy this fall classic!

If you're not in the fall mood after reading this article, I don't know what else will help you.

Sorority
Rebekah Lee

I remember my freshman year oh so well. I remember feeling terrified the night before orientation. The one thing that I dreaded the most was not the new people, the new environment, or even the academic pressure. I was dreading having to talk to sorority girls about Recruitment. I remember cutting off and avoiding any Rho Gamma/Panhellenic Officer that came my way during First Week. I looked at them like they had asked me to cut my arm off whenever they asked me if I wanted to rush. To be honest, I did not even know what rush was, but I knew that I did NOT want to be a part of it. To me, it was dumb. It was a waste of money. It was a waste of my time.

And guess what? I did not rush my freshman year. I spent the first half of my freshman year isolating myself from everyone on campus. I spent all of my time in the library, and then (since I was a commuter) went back home once my work was finished.

Tiana would no doubt be disappointed in the food our cafeteria has to offer.

And hopefully she would cook for everyone in her dorm.

She definitley would not take any 8:00 am classes because she would be up late baking and cleaning up the communal kitchen that are available in every dorm.
