Thursday, April 20th - commonly referred to as 420 - was the annual unofficial celebration of cannabis for the nation’s marijuana users and supporters. Many people used the day to argue for marijuana decriminalization and legalization. Nevada’s own Dina Titus tweeted in support of protecting the marijuana business.

One standout tweet came from the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) National account who tweeted a “Happy 420” along with a few of their stances on marijuana and drugs in general.

One twitter user replied to the tweet saying that he agreed but that their tweet implied that drugs with no practical medical application, like meth and heroine, would also be allowed. ACLU then quoted the tweet reiterating that their position was that “all drug use should be decriminalized”.

The ACLU did not tweet more support for the topic at the time. Their website, however, contains some support for their position on decriminalizing all drugs, but support for the decriminalization and legalization of marijuana is more present and focused on in their fight for drug law reform.

The American Civil Liberties Union works to “defend and preserve the individual rights and liberties guaranteed by the Constitution and laws of the United States.” It has recently gained more attention for its case stopping Trump’s original travel ban.

There are plenty of obstacles that come when taking care of kids, but it's a very rewarding experience.

As a college student, being a nanny over the summer is both enjoyable and challenging. Underneath the seemingly perfect trips to the pool or countless hours spent playing Monopoly are the obstacles that only nannies will understand. Trading in your valuable summer vacation in return for three months spent with a few children less than half your age may seem unappealing, but so many moments make it rewarding. For my fellow summer nannies out there, I know you can relate.

There are a lot of really easy, common names in the U.S. and while many of those simple names have different spellings, most of the time, pronunciation is not an issue that those people need to worry about. However, others are not as fortunate and often times give up on corrections after a while. We usually give an A+ for effort. So, as you could probably imagine, there are a few struggles with having a name that isn’t technically English. Here are just a few…
