Dont feel bad about needing accomodations to succeed

Everyone wants to do well in life, everyone wants that successful career, everyone wants that house and family, everyone wants to travel, everyone just wants their dreams to become reality.

While achieving those goals may be easy for some people it is not easy for everyone especially those who have disabilities, there may be barriers that keep them from those goals, like a building not having wheelchair ramps, or having door push buttons for those in wheelchairs, not having text accessible in braille, not having easy access to an interpreter, and not so sensory friendly environments for those who may have Autism or sensory processing disorder.

There is also those who may need extra help with their schoolwork and tests, and there may be those kids that think that they are cheating because they are getting extra help and extra time on their tests and they don't get that help, there is also those that may be jealous that they get to leave class early because of someone being in a wheelchair or having a physical disability.

Those people are the ones that may make people like us feel bad about having accommodations, because we sometimes may feel like we are taking the easy way out, I used to feel embarrassed about needing them because there were people that would stare at me whenever I had to leave the classroom in order to take a test, I was often worried about being made fun of because of having them I used to feel ashamed because I thought that I was stupid, but now I feel that they have actually helped me out.

No one should ever feel bad about needing extra help, and to all of the naysayers out there would you rather they fail and end up with having low paying jobs or no job at all?

We should all be taking whatever help that we can get, disabled people deserve to have successful lives, who says that we have to let having a disability get in the way of our dreams, but sometimes we do need a little assistance getting there, and there is no shame in getting that assistance.

There are many people with disabilities that turned out to be very successful, they just needed a little help getting to where they wanted to be.

Just keep on living your life even if you need a little extra help point is that you are still living.

7 Ways to Make Your Language More Transgender and Nonbinary Inclusive

With more people becoming aware of transgender and non-binary people, there have been a lot of questions circulating online and elsewhere about how to be more inclusive. Language is very important in making a space safer for trans and non-binary individuals. With language, there is an established and built-in measure of whether a place could be safe or unsafe. If the wrong language is used, the place is unsafe and shows a lack of education on trans and non-binary issues. With the right language and education, there can be more safe spaces for trans and non-binary people to exist without feeling the need to hide their identities or feel threatened for merely existing.

Stop Hollywood

Without Blair, the show doesn’t have any substance, scheme, or drama. Although the beginning of the show started off with Blair’s best friend Serena returning from boarding school, there just simply is no plot without Blair. With that being said, Blair’s presence in the show in much more complex than that. Blair never needed another person to define who she was and she certainly didn’t need a man to do that for her. When she envisioned a goal, she sought after it, and took it. This is why Blair’s demeanor encompasses strong women like her.

Singing is something I do all day, every day. It doesn't matter where I am or who's around. If I feel like singing, I'm going to. It's probably annoying sometimes, but I don't care -- I love to sing! If I'm not singing, I'm probably humming, sometimes without even realizing it. So as someone who loves to sing, these are some of the feelings and thoughts I have probably almost every day.
