One of the hardest things in life is accepting that you burned yourself out. When you accept that you burned yourself out, you accept that there's nothing left to create anymore.
Burning yourself out is possibly the worst thing that can happen to a creator. Once you reached the stage where you burn yourself out, you begin to lose passion in everything you once loved. Writing, reading, painting, all the passion for it dwindles out until there's nothing left to appreciate. That brings me to creating this article.
I've reached the point where I've completely burned out any creative juice in my body. There's nothing left, much like a capri sun juice pouch after you've filled it with air and deflated it, all the juice is gone.
What I learned, if anything, from reaching this point in my creative process is to give yourself a break. Give yourself time to breathe. Give yourself space. Space out your work, space out your articles, space out your thoughts. The more you force out work, the more passion you lose for doing it. Writing becomes a job that you hate waking up to. Drawing becomes a job that you hate doing to pass the time. Creating becomes a necessity, rather than a passion.
So when it comes down to creating, take your time. Creating is a process that should come naturally. Never force yourself to do something you love, it drains the beauty out of it. Cherish every idea and treat it like gold, because one day you might get to the point where there's little to nothing left to appreciate. Once you reach that point, it's basically creative suicide.
