Acceptable Reasons to Drop Classes

Because I dropped 3 this semester

Acceptable Reasons to Drop Classes

I started with 5 classes this semester, dropped 3, and added 2. You do the math.

1. Strict Rules

No laptops, no eating, no drinking, no thanks!

2. Requirements

I already have enough credits for this but I need more for this and blah blah blah. Just take advantage of all your classes so you can get the most for your dollar.

3. Find something better

Well sometimes there is just a more interesting class that you hear about and luckily also has a seat open.

4. Commitments

A lot of my classes will say, "if you are an athlete do not take this class". So I am guessing sometimes having night classes and games can be a problem with missing classes.

5. Crazy Professor

First impressions are important and if they are already acting crazy on the first day you can't expect it to get much better.

6. Opinionated Professor

"I will talk a lot about the next president of the United States Donald Trump" - dropped.

7. Expensive

Taking a photography class for fun when you have to buy a camera? Maybe not the best idea.

8. Syllabus

Some syllabuses you just look at and run.

9. Difficulty

If it looks like you will not pass the class and you don't need it as a requirement, why are you in that class?

10. Course loads

The course load is large to say the least, and a lot of the work overlaps with another class? Maybe you should reconsider.

11. Bad vibes

Sometimes the class just doesn't seem like the right fit and that's a good enough reason to get out of there.

After working retail seasonally, here are a few tips that I learned in order to make the employees at your favorite store just a little happier and not want to charge you extra on your purchase for being awful. Here are some times when you should be nicer to retail workers than you actually are!

5 Untold Struggles Of The Short Friend

I'm the Short Friend. I've been the Short Friend since about the seventh grade. I'm the one who stands in the front of the photos, gets made fun of for their height, and still shops in the kids department.

This article is not for the Almost Short Friends, i.e. the 5'3" and 5'4" Friends. No no, this is for the Actually Short Friends, i.e. the Barely Scraping 5'1" and shorter Short Friends.

11 Things All Call Center Workers Can Empathize With Better Than Anyone
Youtube

This semester I started my journey as a member of my University's Alumni Outreach Team. This means a lot of things, but primarily it means that I get to make phone calls to parents and alumni two nights a week to update contact information, collect things like business cards and volunteer hours, and even ask for money.
