Being from the midwest, I've grown accustomed to a few things. One of those things is that time around October when it starts to get cold, the leaves start changing, and my Starbucks drinks change from iced to hot.
That does not happen in Florida.
Instead of layering on cardigans and slipping into boots, I still wear shorts and flip flops.
Instead of starting to wear my hair down, it still has to be pulled up, because there is way too much of it to let it rest on my neck in 90 degree weather.
Instead of starting to transition back into my winter foundation, I've had to go almost a complete shade darker. What??
Instead of getting my typical salted caramel latte, I still get iced coffee because who can drink hot coffee when it's this hot out?
Instead of watching the leaves change and fall outside, I've been looking at palm trees.
Now, I know that some people, this sounds amazing and wonderful and exactly what they want out of life.
But I miss seasons.
They say you never really know a good thing until it's gone.
Fall, you're a pretty good season.
