ABC's Of Warwick, New York

We may be a small town, but we offer so much more than that.

ABC's Of Warwick, New York

Just because we're a small town with a lot of cows, doesn't mean we aren't great in our own way.

A is for Apple Fest.

When we get flooded with thousands of people the first weekend of October, we can never complain because it means we get to indulge in all the things our town has to offer.

B is for Bellvale Farms Creamery.

There is a reason The Huffington Post named it the second best ice cream place in the country, and it wasn’t because of the view.

C is for CnD’s.

We don’t run on Dunkin here, we run on fresh baked bagels.

D is for summer nights at the Drive-In.

One of the best parts of summer here in Warwick, is spending your nights with good company, and a good movie under the stars.

E is for the famous Elvis Presley painting.

Seen as a landmark to the town, the mural was painted by a local artist, also showcasing Clint Eastwood, Steve McQueen, Paul Newman, James Dean and Marlon Brando.

F is for the annual Warwick Valley Fireman’s Carnival.

Every year, no matter your age, I can 100% guarantee you that you will be attending the fireman's carnival at least once out of the four days.

G is for G’s restaurant.

Right in the heart of town, this restaurant offers a perfect mix of diner food and anything else you could possibly want.

H is for homecoming.

Because if you were a wildcat, then you know just how important this week was to us.

I is for Iriniri.

If you’re looking for one of a kind jewelry, this is the place to go.

J is for junior prom.

One of the only districts to focus on junior prom, every year you can count on the whole town sending us off for a night to remember.

K is for Kings Highway.

Not even close to actually being a highway; but you will probably find yourself on this road if you ever really want to go somewhere.

L is for loved.

We all like to act like we hate it here, but in reality the amount of love we have for our small town is unreal.

M is for Mount Peter Ski Lodge.

Skiing and snowboarding are extremely popular among locals, and having this Ski lodge right in Warwick makes winters all that more fun.

N is for NEVER failing to provide beautiful scenery.

Every road you drive turns into a scenic route, and when the sun starts to set it's even more beautiful than you could have ever imagined.

O is for Orange County.

Because when you tell people you’re from OC, they automatically think you mean California.

P is for Pine Island.

Known as the largest community in the Black Dirt Region, this small town is most famous for its black dirt onions.

Q is for a Quaint.

In a little town with a population of 32,065, everyone knows everyone. Which means you are guaranteed to see at least 4 people you know as soon as you leave your house. Triple that number if you plan on going to the local Shoprite.

R is for Railroad Green.

You know the weather's getting nicer when the local talent starts performing here again.

S is for the Spanktown Road Christmas house.

The holiday season would feel incomplete if the owners of this home didn't go all out every year.

T is for tourists.

Locals are so accustomed to an overflow of tourists that it doesn’t even affect us anymore. With such a cute town with a rustic charm, it's hard to not want to visit.

U is for many U-PICK Apple Orchards.

When fall rolls around, you can guarantee the orchards will be filled with families every day until the trees run dry.

V is for Vineyards.

The Warwick Winery is a local favorite, and when the weather is warm you can spend the day and picnic outside.

W is for the Warwick Wildcats.

We wear our mascot with pride.

X is for approX. 55 miles away from Manhattan.

Only an hour an a half away from the heart of NYC makes our town's location perfect for anyone looking for a weekend get-a-way.

Y is for Ye Old Warwick Bookshop.

A small bookstore in the heart of town is perfect for anyone who can appreciate literature, both new and old.

Z is FiZZy Lifting candy shop.

A perfect stop to take a trip back in time in this retro shop with all the candy they have to offer.

18 Things I Want To Do Now That I'm 18

I'm technically an adult, so I'm legally required to live a little, right?

For the entirety of my high school career, I was always seen as the goody-two-shoes. I never got in trouble with a teacher, I kept stellar grades, and when I wasn't doing extracurricular activities, I was at home studying. Even when I did go out, it was usually with a bunch of fellow band geeks. The night would end before 11:00 PM and the only controversial activity would be a fight based on who unfairly won a round of Apples-to-Apples when someone else clearly had a better card (I promise I'm not still holding a grudge).

Now that I'm officially an adult, I want to pursue some new things. I want to experience life in a way that I never allowed myself to do prior to entering college. These are the years that I'm supposed to embark on a journey of self-discovery, so what better way to do that than to create a bucket list?

So, maybe you could answer them for me, and if not then we can both wonder what the answers to these 15 questions could be.
