The University of West Georgia is the home of the Wolves and broken WiFi. We live for off campus food because Z-6 and EC aren't cutting it. Parking is more stressful than exams and club Ingram is the place to be any week night. Below are the ABC's of UWG, a simple list of things the students know all too well.

A is for Auxillary Services

Officially, they handle all things mail, dining, cards, and parking. Unofficially, they're the ones who will tweet you back all hours of the day to answer your random questions.

B is for Banweb

This is the thing that we check every hour while waiting for our final grades and if we have an unexpected fine.

C is for Campus Center

The campus center is the place to get in a quick workout and mastering the rock climbing wall.

D is for Divine Nine

This past semester, UWG welcomed all nine NPHC fraternities and sororities to campus. Together, these fraternities and sororities make up the Divine Nine!

E is for East Commons

If you're looking to get out of class, go eat some East Commons and feel the wrath of cafeteria food.

F is for Fees

UWG's favorite thing to do is charge us all miscellaneous fees that we can't afford on top of tution and housing.

G is for Greek Life

Greek life at West Georgia is composed of the College Panhellenic Council, Interfraternity, Multicultural Greek, and National Pan-Hellenic. Greek life definitely has a presence on campus and is a wonderful opportunity for you to get involved in the community.

H is for Coach Hall

Coach WIll Hall is the head football coach at UWG and a name everyone knows. We're thankful for all he's done for our team! GO WOLVES!

I is for Involvement

UWG offers so many different clubs and organizations that it's hard to pick just one. There are tons of way to get involved on campus from jobs, to clubs, to Greek Life, there are options for you!

J is for Jimmy John's

The best part on Jimmy John's is that you can either walk to it or have it delivered, it's that close. Nothing beats a cheap sandwich when your tired of school food.

K is for Kyle Marrero

Kyle Marrero is the President of UWG and all around great guy. #MakeKyleProud

L is for Library

Club Ingram is the place to hang out, study, or wait in the hour long Starbucks line.

M is for McDonald's

Let's be real, everyone gets tired of the school food. McDonald's is in walking distance and has endless appeals. Plus, their WiFi works when ConnectWestSEC goes down on campus.

N is for Newnan

Newnan is home of UWG other campus and a bit of a drive when you accidentally sign up for a class over there.

O is for the Oaks

The Oaks is the newest dorms on campus for freshman that fills up faster than you can blink.

P is for Parking

Or lack there of so to speak. Parking is a nightmare on campus and everyone always seems to be getting parking tickets.

Q is for QEP

The ridiculous acronym your professor has on the syllabus when he explains that you have to write a paper for your Math class.

R is for Row Hall

Where is that again? I always seem to get lost trying to find Row to pick up my hang tag for my car.

S is for Student Government Association

SGA is the official voice of the student body. If you have a complaint, a suggestion, or something you just want to say, these are the people you go to. They also give out a lot of free t-shirts and everyone loves anything with the word "free".

T is for Townsend Center

UWG's theater program is pretty amazing. Be sure to visit Townsend and see a show before you graduate. You'll go here at least once to get extra credit for a class.

U is for UCC

The UCC houses some of our favorites like: Chick-Fil-A, Subway, and the post office. Nothing beats the feeling of picking up a card from home and using the money to walk downstairs for some Chick-Fil-A nuggets.

V is for Victories

UWG's sports teams are pretty amazing. We've taken home several of wins and titles. Go Wolves! We can't wait for 2016-2017 sports!

W is for WOLF

Our internet radio station. They also host Wolf Stock which is a really cool event in the spring were local bands preform live on campus.

X is for Xing

I really had nothing better for this one, but I do cross the street daily on campus. When people don't slow down I still go saying, "Hit me. I need tuition money anyway."

Y is for Yik Yak

Yik Yak is an app where students can anonymously chat with other students. You can find out gossip, ask questions, or be annoying on Yik Yak. The choice is yours.

Z is for Z-6

Z-6 is the other cafeteria on campus and said to be better than EC because it has an ice cream bar.

cousins
Bailey Totten

I've known you your entire life. More than likely I held you in the first three days of it and at least one of us cried. Cousins are truly one of the best things in the world and while sometimes I complain about how many people crowd Grandma's living room on Christmas Eve, I wouldn't trade you all anything.

You are my best friends, the only people who can understand what it's like on Thanksgiving, and you are the spunkiest people I have ever met. But you as so so young, most of you are just now starting your adventures in the public education system. I mean, I'm so very young too. I'm not married, I don't have children, heck, I just started my adult life, but I do want to give you what little advice I have. My dears, these are the things I want you to know.

You are a senior in high school, you have made it to the final year that you have been looking forward to since the first day of freshman year. Whether this has been the worst or best four years of your life, appreciate it. You will never have these times back, you will never be in high school again. It is hard for someone still in high school to wrap their brain around, but there will be a day when you wish you could be in the shoes you're in right now. Everyone, and I mean everyone has heard of the show "One Tree Hill". Many people think that this show is the best thing they've ever watched and others won't bother watching it because they know they'll get hooked. And yes, I know many people have written about this show before, but I couldn't resist. I could re-watch every season multiple times to the point where I can almost quote an entire scene. Trust me, once you start "One Tree Hill", you will be hooked. There's way too many reasons to list as to why you'll love this show, and these are just a few.

The first two weeks of classes have come to an end and they have been anything BUT easy. It seems like life has been serving up more bad than good and in all honesty, the only thing you want to do is crawl under your covers and hide from the rest of the world.

Although this seems like the best solution, it is also the easy way out. Take it from the girl who took basically a whole week off from her life because she just could not handle everything that was being thrown at her. This caused her to feel extremely lonely and even more stressed out for being behind in classes that JUST began.
