The ABCs Of Scranton
University of Scranton

The University of Scranton is a place like no other. Unless you attend the U, there is no way to understand the love that most of us have for it. There are so many things on campus that makes it unique and separates it from any other university in the country. Here are a few examples in the form of the ABCs:

A

is for academics since we are all so smart.

B

is for brunch. The best meal of the the week.

C

is for Chik-fil-A. The only one in the area.

D

is for DeNaples. The center of our lives.

E

is for Einstein's and the best bagels on campus.

F

is for Flex, which runs out way too fast.

G

is for GLM. Otherwise known as the brothel.

H

is for hills. It's why we all have nice calves.

I

is for ice cream on 3rd floor.

J

is for Jesuits.

K

is for key, which someone is always losing.

L

is for LSC Study Rooms.

M

is for the memories that we make during our four years here.

N

is for New Jersey and New York because that's where most of us are from.

O

is for omelets. The best part of brunch (besides the smoothies).

P

is for professors, who are always there when you need help.

Q

is for quiet hours. A rule that is rarely enforced.

R

is for Royals, which we are all proud to be.

S

is for squirrels. There is no explanation necessary.

T

is for tray. Like a "tray" of pizza.

U

is for umbrella because it is always raining.

V

is for very cold. Scranton has super chilly winters.

W

is for wolves. The Royal Wolves.

X

is for eXams because they seem to happen all the time.

Y

is for Yik Yak. Our source of all gossip.

Z

is for ZZZZZZZs because we don't get a lot of them around here.

18 Things I Want To Do Now That I'm 18

I'm technically an adult, so I'm legally required to live a little, right?

For the entirety of my high school career, I was always seen as the goody-two-shoes. I never got in trouble with a teacher, I kept stellar grades, and when I wasn't doing extracurricular activities, I was at home studying. Even when I did go out, it was usually with a bunch of fellow band geeks. The night would end before 11:00 PM and the only controversial activity would be a fight based on who unfairly won a round of Apples-to-Apples when someone else clearly had a better card (I promise I'm not still holding a grudge).

Now that I'm officially an adult, I want to pursue some new things. I want to experience life in a way that I never allowed myself to do prior to entering college. These are the years that I'm supposed to embark on a journey of self-discovery, so what better way to do that than to create a bucket list?

I've been super busy lately with school work, studying, etc. Besides the fact that I do nothing but AP chemistry and AP economics, I constantly think of stupid questions that are almost impossible to answer. So, maybe you could answer them for me, and if not then we can both wonder what the answers to these 15 questions could be.
