A is for A Quad

Where most of the academic buildings are located on campus and where we students spend the majority of our day learning and going to class.


B is for Buzzards

The unofficial mascot of Denison because they are everywhere.


C is for Cookie Sunkle

One of the most popular staff members of Denison University. Thanks for keeping us updated about Chowder Hour and everything else daily.

D is for the Doobie

The student run radio station. Tune your radios to 91.1 WDUB the Doobie for some chill vibes all the time.


E is for Ebaugh Pond

A smelly mysterious pond on campus. If you're lucky enough you may get thrown into it, but it's also used for research.

F is for Friends

F is for Friends who do stuff together. Thanks SpongeBob for those inspiring words. But in all honestly, you make some of your best friends in college who become your family and home away from home.

G is for Go Big Red

Go Big Red, Go Big Red!

H is for the Homestead

Props to you if you choose to live here, its pretty cool and eco friendly, so that's awesome!


I is for IGA

Really the only nearby store where we can buy food and drinks.

J is for Jolly Pirate Donuts

Nothing like those late night runs to Jolly Pirates Donuts to cure a rough day.


K is for Knapp

Have you ever wanted to nap in Knapp? Me too.

L is for Lynn

Lynn, everyone knows Lynn. She will brighten your day every time you swipe into Curtis dining hall.

M is for the Mitchell Center

The beautiful athletic center where you can go get your workout on.


N is for the Nest

One of the best food options on campus. Thanks for being there for us students late at night.

O is for Off Campus Study

Everyone's got to get off campus for a little while.

P is for Pizza Bagels

Just another late night delicious snack. The Pizza Bagels at the Bandersnatch are to die for.


Q is for Quiet dorms

You'll appreciate it at 2 a.m.

R is for Roommates

Got to love your roommates who put up with you at your worst and best.

S is for Swasey Chapel, Slayter, the Sunnies, Stairs and the Seal

The icon Swasey Chapel that you can see from all over campus and town. Slayter where you can chill and order a variation of food. The Sunnies, the senior apartments where you can get your party on. Stairs, because not a day goes by that you won't make a hike up three or more flights of stairs. And finally, the seal: don't step on the Denison seal or you won't graduate.

T is for T-Pain

'Nuff said.



U is for Ummm

When you're professor calls on you in class and you don't know the answer.

V is Venison

Denison Venison. The Denison deer are just part of the big family here on the hill.


W is from Weinberg

The famous, Adam Weinberg, only the best university president.


X is for E(x)s

At a school of just over two thousand, chances are you'll run into your ex multiple times a week or they'll be in one of your classes

Y is for Youth

The fountain we're all just trying to drink from.

Z is Zero "ragrets"
